Low Variance Deuces Wild
I have been using a custom paytable for Deuces Wild:
1/2/3/4/5/8/15/20/30/800
The return on this is 100.53% and the variance is 17.92
It is a cool twist on Deuces Wild with different strategies and a lot less variance than regular FPDW.

If you're serious about coming up with a pay schedule that might someday be found in a casino, keep in mind that starting with 100.5% is a showstopper.
Come up with somehow similar pay schedules that are in the 99%, 98%, 97%, and 96% levels and it has a chance. Different slot directors have different criteria on what to put on the floor --- but basically no slot director is thinking of adding more 100%+ pay schedules.
If your goal is just to play around and amuse yourself --- knock yourself out.

Some more good pay tables:
1/2/3/4/5/6/15/20/30/800 for 99.61%
1/2/3/4/5/6/12/20/30/800 98.67%
There are definitely times where I am looking for lower variance than Jacks or Better. I wish this game were offered in casinos. Pick Em is good for low variance but I don't like that game.

Me too. The game I want to play never has any losses. I can play for days at a time with $100. Once a week I hit a royal and go home with a profit. My bankroll doubles every six months and the slot girl works topless. If you can find a game like that, count me in.
