We both know that this kind of result will not continue, but it sure is nice to enjoy it while it lasts.
No reason why it couldn't continue, though it probably won't.

Through prior misadventures, familiar with the -$400 first hour. That would conclude my day as I stumble towards the exit in a daze.

It beats throwing good money after bad. If you find yourself in a hole, stop digging. Either ring a bell?

Well, our balloon finally deflated on our fourth casino visit, as it definitely went the casino's way. My only notable results in approximately $20000 of play ( 1600 deals and 16000 hands)were one set of deuces, and a couple of dealt straight flushes. My loss was $800.

My wife, with a similar amount of play, did slightly worse, with a $1000 loss playing super aces. She did hit one royal, but a dearth of quads doomed her to the loss.

So hard to get a hot streak of more than 3 or 4 good visits. Still getting out and about is good

That is some expensive Amstel. Out and about? I saw four films over the weekend, two per day. Plus I slipped into the last 45 minutes of The Many Saints of Newark. Total cost was “on the arm.” I miss the gambling and my AC Weekly read. But not the commute. The weekly trips aren’t worth the trouble anymore. It’s tough to win over a nominal $50. Isn’t it better to paint the town red when I do go? And I can read the ACW in its hard copy format just by going online. Quit after a RF, as I preach. It’s just the sensible thing to do.

I have tried that stuff for awhile off and on. The lure is always out there to try again. If there was no vp just mindless machines, I wouldn’t go back. I don’t mind the hour drive, but the lunatic drivers are getting worse by the day. There is a brand new crop out there. We already know about the wanna be Paul Newman drivers, their BMWs, high end VWS, and beat up Honda Civics with half primer body panels, awful sounding exhaust, and stick out tilted rims. The latest new crop is Jeeps. The traditional styled ones speeding, tailgating, cutting in and out. Some actually quite fast. Just stay away from me. Especially if I am in the outside lane moving at 80 mph, lines of cars in front of me, and the inner lanes full as well. Get too close to my rear bumper and you will wish you hadn’t. PS….used to see Paul Newman once in awhile in the post office getting his mail. His everyday car was a VW bug.

Unfortunately, my commute is considerably longer. A RF is the ultimate VP red light for me. Stop all play. Convince spouse to stop their play. It’s the mother of VP windfalls. Enjoy the four figure or at worst high three figure win trip. Wave casino goodbye on the way out. Thank it for its generosity. To absorb a four figure loss on an RF trip is the ultimate indignity.
