Re: Vegas Next week. Tips...
We are playing Rio Secco on Monday. I heard its a nice course. Yes! I play a LOT of STP in A/C? Managed to get myself up to 7 stars tier 2 last year.
Roveer, did you use your 2011 7 Star Tier II Experience yet? If not, check with your host about the Golf Experience @ Phoenix Ak-Chin. Most of the 2011 stuff needed to be used by 3/31/12, but due to the popularity of this offer, it was extended to 6/30/12. That is the Golf Experience that I went on where you get fitted for an ENTIRE SET of new golf clubs. It was awesome.
I played Rio Secco earlier this month. It was in good shape, and fun to play. But it does not come close to Cascata. Tell your host to 'bump you up" to Cascata - you won't be sorry.
Of course, you can get female "Tee-Mates" at Rio Secco.
How would that apply to me being in Las Vegas? I've actually been to Ak-Chin a few years ago when I was in Phoenix. She's comp'd both rounds of golf, but who knows what it is applied to. Caesars casino hosts are just not very good. Can't get a return phone call, they keep everything a mystery (I think intentionally), and they can at times be rude. This trip has been a challenge to set up to this point. I've had to bite my tongue a few times so I don't end up in a lousey room by the vending area... Roveer

Wow - you need a new host !! As a 7 Star, especially earning Tier II status in 2011, they ought to be falling all over you.
The 7 Star Experiences are available to ALL 7 Stars, regardless of where you live. You should have gotten a package showing all the experiences available to you, including the Golf Experience for Tier II in 2011.
As for golf in Vegas, ALL 7 Stars are given comp golf for two each quarter at the Caesars-owned courses there, including Cascata and Rio Secco.
If I were you, I would find a host manager, or a corporate player development person, and tell them that you need a host who knows what is happening, and gives you the service that you have earned.

I've just about done that. I've had 2 NJ based hosts. The first one quit in December and they never told me. I had to pursue them. The 2nd one is worthless, can't even return a phone call. Doesn't tell me about anything. Since I started booking my Vegas trip they put me off to a host in LV for all the details. She's worthless too. Doesn't return phone calls, doesn't have any information. Sent me only 1 of my 2 confirmation codes for rooms making me thing think that I was shacking up my buddy and when I sent her an email alerting her to my concernes, she sent back a very rude response saying "I dont' know where you are getting your information from". The problem is, they don't provide the information, they don't read your full email, they don't care if I am a diamond or T2 7*. Instead of making a stink prior to my trip and having them pull back possible comps they might give me, I figured I'd wait till I got there, or after the trip and then really lay into them for treating me like crap. I really don't ask for much, but their silence cause me to waste a lot of my 2011 benefits. I think the problem is, even with 2MM coin in last year, not but a very very small fraction of it got left with them. You'll remember I had a pretty good 4th quarter and really turned around what was a poor year. So even know I'm 7* they technically lost money on me. Of course, that's just how it goes, and I'm no fool, so I want what I want. But at one point when I asked my NJ host about a "real" suite, not those stupid 100-101 "fancy rooms" as I call them, I was told "oh, you have to have 50k to lose in order to stay in one of those", so somebody is watching the math. I'd love to know how many T2 7* players there are, and better yet, how many T3 players. After all, for me to get T2 playing all VP, I had to do 2MM coin in in 2011. That's a lot of dough. I do not feel that I get treated any differently by my host than a diamond player. Of course I never do the "line cut thing" and I do try and take advantage of the program as much as possible, but I have never gotten a phone call or email saying "oh, you have this as a part of your program and you need to take advantage of it. My host at Green Valley Ranch is pretty darn good. I don't win much on the strip, and I think most casino employees on the strip are arrogant as hell. Probably why I don't play on the strip. I stick to GVR and Red Rock. Nicer people and more success.

I always say I dont' care what the room looks like, just make sure I'm near the vending area. Good luck in Vegas! Hope to see some real jackpot pics from you! (again)

Because of my Host changing horses, I will be darkening Caeser's/Harrah's door. You folks are making me nervous about how they treat their players.

Because of my Host changing horses, I will be darkening Caeser's/Harrah's door. You folks are making me nervous about how they treat their players. A couple of trips ago I checked in to find they put me in a STD room. Now, it doesn't really matter, but I have been staying in suites for the better part of a year and was wondering what was going on. I'm not one to march back down to the desk and demand I be switched. I dumped my bag, did my thing and headed down to the casino. Sitting at the bar my host came to have a visit and when I told her about the situation she did offer to have my room moved. I declined. I also shared with her a few other things that were not going well (never being told my previous host was gone and my emails and phone calls going unanswerd). I had to persue them to find out who my new host was. it was a cordial conversation which resulted in 300 in free play for that visit. What was remarkable was once she left, several people at the bar started chiming in saying how terrible their hosts were and how they could never get a return phone call and all this other negative stuff. Some attributed it to Caesars cost cutting measures. Having also spoken with my departed host who went over to Tropicana, she left because of the changes. Now, if you have a host that you have a good reltionship with, you'll probably won't have a problem. I've just never found my stride, but I keep trying. So far the comps for this trip have been pretty good. I'm flying first class, was able to comp airfare for my friend who is flying out of NY, comp both rooms, mine a suite, his a very nice room in the new octavious tower. Comp 2 rounds of golf with my club rentals and found out today I have 500 dollar food & beverage credit which should take care of breakfast. I just wish they did a better job of communicating. I can't say that I'm treated poorly as far as the comps, but when someone doesn't even bother to read my emails (yes, I know I'm verbose, but I do that to provide all of the important information), and then they get rude, i have to consider that poor treatment. I've sent in a few host surveys outlining the entire situation and the hosts do get them, because I've gotten phone calls afterward. Sometimes I feel like my host is more stressed out than me. Either that, or they seem like they are fed up giving people free stuff, which is actually a big part of their job description. Either way, I'm going with the Honey approach even know I'd like to throw a little vinegar once in a while. I just know that will get me nowhere. Here's hoping your host experience is better than mine. Roveer
