Re: Father's Day 4 RF/24 hrs + G
while I am happy for you Larry, I am also somewhat perplexed.....or maybe awestruck is a better word.I only know of one other person in my entire life who seems to have the level of luck you appear to have, in terms of hitting royals, and that was my cousin out in Northern California. She literally seems to hit a RF everytime she goes to a casino, and she actually ahs the w-2 g forms to prove this, since she only plays $1 and above! But on the flipside, the rest of her life is a veritable trainwreck and a raging sea, and I wouldnt trade places even if it meant hitting 10 royals a day........But nevermind my cousin........back to you........I do not know how you can have the stomach to play the "90%" deuces game featured in your pics......even if it is at a measly 5 or 10 cents per credit. I mean, the fact that you can be so successful at this game is truly phenomenal! I would almost be willing to simply hand you a portion of my own bankroll and let you bomb away for a 1/3 of any and all profits!!!! Given the luck I seem to have I would still be way ahead of the game........what's your address? where do I send the check????

Just goes to show - pay tables can be overrated for a recreational player. I will take good fortune and premium hands any day.

Just goes to show - pay tables can be overrated for a recreational player. I will take good fortune and premium hands any day. there is more realistic truth to your statement than you know william.......the fact remains, no matter how crappy the paytable(s) in general may be, the one consistent feature on almost all VP games/machines these days is that the Royal still pays 4000, and the quads still pay the same across the board........therefore, if someone is as lucky, or "hot" as larry is in this case, they are going to walk away a huge winner. doesnt matter if the paytable pays 91% or 100% or even a Atlantic City-like 83%.......if you catch the big one(s), end of story. And we all know the fact that it is indeed this 4000 to 1 payout for a Royal that makes Video Poker in general a desirable game to play.....no matter what the rest of the paytable is or says......

Just got in from Horseshoe in Bossier City. Good to see you still enjoy Coushatta. I hope your good luck continues this year. Great royals

The Deuces Wild we are playing is sometimes called "Ugly Deuces" with a 98.9% return: 125,75, 45, 20 ,20, 15, 10, 5. I think I saw the Colorado Deuces one on a trip to Canada. I couldn't believe how low the return was.
What we're really excited about is the multi-hand /multi-denom. offerings:
8/5 Bonus
9/6 Dbl Dbl
9/6 TBD
Ugly Deuces and Bonus DW (98.8)
all available on 2¢, 5¢, and 25¢ ,50¢ and $1 multi-hands. I love the fact I can warm up on 5¢ play and then move immediately to 25¢ multi-hands.

The Deuces games we play at Isle and Coushatta all returns in high 98%
DW (Ugly Deuces) 98,9% return with Variance 25.6
Bonus DW 98.8% return with Variance 32.067
I play them for the same reason I breath the Hydro-carbon filled air of East Texas and South Louisiana - its all we got.
I feel very comfortable with the game strategies and flow of the game since of of the two I play 90% of the time.
First Sweet C and I have been incredibly lucky but we also play an incredible number of hands since we often play multi-hand for 6-8 hour sessions. Using only 25¢ or higher denom. for recording we've had 17 RF since January 2014 and we are each averaging about one each trip. Our documented RF count is now up to 135 since 2005. Incredibly 12 of the 136 have been dealt RF Including 3 times I got multi-hand dealt RF within six months between two casinos. The four RF I posted from Father's Day is still a mind blower. But, let me say the "cold streaks" can be long so we'll ride the good streak as long as possible. Predominately playing DW, BDW with low Variance has been a contributing factor.

Yeah I misread the pics. Glad to hear "Illinois" or "Airport" Dueces. I avoid using "Ugly Ducks" because in many areas 98.91% Deuces will be your best deuces choice now. For 50/100 play penny/2c games in St. Louis, no games are above 98% (2 units in the entire area). :( The one unit in all of Tunica is better at least, 98.8% bdw at nickels. I typically play one or two lines on that one. Lol
You're very lucky to live in an area that totally hasn't trashed VP yet, especially on the 50/100 plays. Most casinos I've been too set those very badly out of greed.

LL...Don't know if you folks are coming to Ct. anytime soon, but at Mohegan at the quarter level and above they still have the 98.91 Deuces Wild, 9/6 Dbl Dbl, 9/6 job, and 17/7 joker kings. Unfortunately, the 50 or 100 play games of which there are very few, have much poorer paytables. There are just 2 nickel game with paytables of 98% and higher and they are both Multi-Strike games. Sometimes I just play the bottom line on them with mixed results. I have had terrible luck for years on the 9/6 job games and mixed luck on the Deuces Wild games. All of the Double Pay games are gone. In general the 10 play games have poor paytables too. Foxwoods has even worse paytables, yet some people have better luck there. I guess luck is the word for it. They are also starting to install those new terrible CET machines that give you instant carpal tunnel. I will try and post updates here every so often as I see the games change. I realize many of the vp.com folks may never get out here, but for those that do, it is good to have the info ahead of time. Mohegan is a big place with 3 casinos and some of the better games are tucked away where you wouldn't expect them. If anyone has more specific questions on the games and where they are located at Mohegan, I will try and reply.

olds,
We came your way last May the day after my semester finished. Stayed in Boston, then Cape Cod and then 2 days in New London. One of our long-time dreams came true. We had two days to play Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. First, we were overwhelmed by the size and beauty of the two casinos, Second we enjoyed the incredible beauty of driving the back roads with the old houses with trees blooming. Trips were great except when we headed back to New London late one rainy night.
If we ever get back up that way maybe we can meet up. Would enjoy that.
