Re: Finally going to Vegas!!!!! November!
I am probably staying at the Marriott which I think is 2 blocks from the strip.

We're taking a couple of Vegas Virgins out there this time with us and will be spending most of our time with them.

The Marriott is located near the Las Vegas Hilton, Wynn's and other casinos on the north side of the strip. You'll definitely want to visit Wynn's and the Venetian. However, your best nickel gambling game will be at the hilton (JOB).

If you have a car then you can find some nickel FPDW at other casinos.

Thank you for that link shadowman!
With not much money I have to play nickels even if only for one day right? It looks like much better (full pay deuces!) pay on quarter machines at that hilton.
How much do you think I need if I want to play quarters for maybe 3 hours?

Full Pay Nickel poker is not that easy to find even though that denomination is listed in the Casino Data Base at vpFree. There are usually only a few machines with that pay table at the nickel level and finding them in the casino can sometimes be pretty difficult.I know you are staying on the Strip, but here are a few places off the Strip that I know have (or had a month ago) full pay nickel machines.I know there is ONE nickel machine at Main Street Station that is full pay on DDB ONLY. It's located on the bank of machines on the north end of the casino and is the second machine on the west side of the bank! All others are 9/6 but that one and that one only, is 10/6.You can get 9/6 nickel JOB at 4-Queens on the machines by the Keno Lounge.I've heard there is full pay Bonus Poker at Fitzgerald's. There is also twice a week, a VP tournament with a $15 entry fee with $5 rebuys I think. The game was DB on machines back by the hotel registration desk. Coin Drop! It's kind of fun to play in the tournament. There is a one bank of slant-top Optimum Machines (full pay) at Fiesta Henderson that has either DDB or DB (can't remember which) at the nickel level. They also have 4 uprights next to the entrance to the restrooms that are completely full pay I think. I know they have DDB and DB full pay on those machines. There is a bank of Optimum machines that are full pay at Texas Station. One side of that bank has 10-cent full pay on all games. There is a bank of slant-top Nickel machines at Boulder Station that are full pay. I like to have never found them and probably couldn't find them again! That is one confusing casino for me to find anything at. Sort of "in a circle" and while walking around in it (crowded as Hell!) I kept running into my own back end!

I do not think I will have a car I will take a shuttle to the hotel.
Question though, when I am playing such a short time how big a difference will the paytable make? Should I just find a game I like instead? I mean if I am going to hit something big that usually pays the same any way and if I'm going home it will just be a little sooner. Right?
How much faster would the average session of $250 of nickels end on a worse paytable? Maybe too much I really do not know. It seems like maybe not too much?

$250 for two days and one night should be ample BR for nickel VP on about any of the more common games you might play...especially JOB. JOB might get pretty boring for you though.I usually budget around 2,000 credits per day at whatever denomination I'm going to play and very seldom go beyond that. You would have a thousand credits more than my budget for the two days you are out there if you play at the nickel level. At least, play at the nickel level until a couple of hours before you have to leave and then maybe jump up to the quarter level if you have enough left to play on!

So if I can save more maybe I will start on nickels and change to quarters half way through. What about the pay table. Of course I want to find the best I can and maybe that means try quarters sooner but if I can't find a good one should that stop me on such a short stay?
What is best for what I am wanting... Double Bonus, Double Double or Deuces? I will probably want to play only one so I dont' confuse my strategy and I want to start practicing it in VPW soon so I am ready.

The "best game" for you is the one you know Strategy best for.High variance games are likely to eat up your BR faster but also provide the chance at large jackpots. I really don't think there is such a thing as a "best game". You already know to look for the best pay tables on whatever game you settle on and that's about the best advise I could give you.
