Blessed are the bankrolled. It took a -$800 to have a winning day. I would be solidly in drink mode with one fourth of that. Are golden horseshoes very heavy?

No Golden Horseshoe this time as I take a loss tonight on .25c 5 play deuces. Minus the Royal last time, wasn’t as cold, but could not get the important flop or the deuces to sustain the session. Never even flopped one trip deuce. So, -$500 for this one. Decided not to push it and just leave to fight another day.

Cashing out early for the psyche...
Seemed too easy this time. .25c 5 play deuces started with usual $500 bankroll. Almost right away flop trip deuces and was able to hit the 4th, up about $250. A few hands later, flop trip deuces and once again bunk another quad deuce on the first line, up another $250 for a total of $1k.
Now, I’m a vp player who believed as long as one continues to play vp, it doesn’t matter when one cashed out in terms of being up or down. Each spin is independent of the last. However, if you say meet a goal, play a planned number of hours or spins, or a promo ends, then it does matter.
However, there can be another reason and that’s psychological. Like having a few losses prior, or struggles, or just need a W instead of an L. It was a psychological reason I decided to cash out early after playing down to $900 or a $400 profit. The last three sessions were tough and brutal, and if not for a single lucky royal, I would of binked off a lot more than I did. But three sessions ago I was up right away like tonight about $500 then grinded down to even, only a ace with kicker on 10/6 DDB brought peace. Session after that on .25c 5 play deuces was down almost $800 in a long brutal grind before hitting the Royal. And session after that, binked off $500 in a bunch of nada. So...just felt like taking the extra +$400 and calling it a day. Since I’m planning to play again in similiar circumstances, it doesn’t matter. But psychologically, feels good.

There is absolutely no shame in only walking away with a $400.00 profit given your circumstances DM. Some people here who travel much farther distances than you to play might be tempted to play longer, out of "guilt" for lack of a better term, because of the distance they travel but with you living in Las Vegas $400.00 profit is a nice couple hours work.

Congrats and bank the $400.00 for your next session.

There is nothing wrong with ending a session early to ensure that " happy feeling, as long as one understands its a psychological effect, not reality.
It's when one adopts strict session limits that we approach the voodoo zone.
