THANK"S for leaving.
And thanks for your blind love of your "supreme leader". Just before I give up, I also would like to thank seemoreroyals for seeing who Trump really is as a person, unlike most here.

And I DO want the best overall outcome for this country out of this crisis. I just don't believe Trump has any real clue how. And several politicians in this country on BOTH political sides aren't that far behind him.

I have constantly read about this virus for weeks. I'm sure you all (except seemoreroyals) disagree with me. If a million die in the US (I pray not), or less than 50k (I really hope so), we'll know who was right. If less than 50k die from this in the US, I have zero problem admitting I was wrong. Question is: if more than a million Americans die from this, will you do the same?

Honestly, I think we'll fall in the middle.

I stopped at a local "Supercenter" earlier today to pick up some essentials. I was in the shampoo isle (even though I cannot get a haircut I still need clean hair) getting a couple bottles and a woman came up and stood RIGHT NEXT TO ME. She looked at me and said that she was browsing. I backed up and looked right at her and said: Ma'am we are supposed to be practicing social distancing right now and I do not appreciate that you came up and stood right next to me." Ironically; the p.a. system was broadcasting a reminder of social distancing in the store. This woman then just GLARED at me. I said no more, took my shampoo and left.

PEOPLE JUST AREN'T GETTING IT.

If a million United States citizens die as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic I will be blaming not just President Trump.

Thanks back at you Vman for having the courage to speak your mind. Would love to buy you a drink once this nightmare is over with. Best wishes to staying safe and healthy to you and your wife in the meantime.

Tedlark, you may have to do what I started doing about 3 years ago. The stylist who used to cut my wife and I's hair retired and after giving a few others a try afterwards and consulting with a friend who encountered a similar situation I started cutting my own hair. I watched a couple of Youtube videos, went to Wal-Mart and purchased the cheapest haircut kit they had. I think I paid less than $20. I have been cutting my own hair ever since.

Well, haircuts are one thing I don’t have to worry about. Hee hee. What’s left I have been trimming myself for years. Extra mirrors help. Funny, Ted my sister had the same experience today in her grocery store in Sonoma. She reacted just as you did. Today the town finally gave up on the moron people at the beach park and closed it. They will be taking the basketball nets down tomorrow and tennis nets and locking up what they can. I have written already in several posts already about the morons. In one post I said where are the parents? Now I know. One was in your store and one of the others in my sister’s grocery store. A third one came into my sister’s hair salon a couple of days before the state closed them. The customer brought in her overactive 7 year old who was coughing, hacking, and sneezing into the salon. The mother was clueless and let the kid run wild. My sister did a rush job on the mother and when the mother asked her to cut the kids hair too, thank goodness my sister refused. I don’t know if any choice words were exchanged, but kudos for my sister.

just wondering why it takes more courage to berate trump, criticize actions taken up to now and predict the end of the world. heck, that's pretty much what half of the country and the majority of the media having doing for more than 3 years.

if one is considered courageous by accusing trump of everything from russian collusion, to a ridiculous impeachment offense and now the handling of a chinese born infectious ailment, then we better start handing out the medal of honor to some on this site and the entire dem party.

seems the only answer that would satisfy some, is to close the entire country down. for how long, this could be seasonal and as rascal accurately points out, a vaccine is a long way off. what will be left to come back to? their answer is likely, just keep printing money and borrowing (from the chinese).

as i see it, the action that takes courage is to try and beat back the infection, while avoiding putting the country into an economic depression.

Vman said it all: Vaccine efficiency.

At the risk of offending anyone, I am hopeful that this outbreak will also cause the U.S. to take a very hard look at its immigration policies and practices. Historians have painted Ellis Island as a place that was very cruel to potential immigrants, but in fact many diseases were caught and immigration refused through those "cruel" practices. I don't think it is at all out of line for us to insist that those who visit or move to our country be completely free of contagious diseases, no exceptions.
rascal, you are correct on two points, making sure everyone comes here is free of any contagious diseases, and it would certainly offend most liberals. how dare you suggest something that makes perfect sense.

but, in the circumstances we now find ourselves, that policy may not have been effective. i am guessing that it was legitimate us citizens, who traveled back from their homeland (china), or were just visiting china, that instigated this entire series of events.

i see only one solution. when this ends and it will end, the rest of the world must unite and inflict on china such a powerful economic retribution package, that they or any other country that unleashes a world wide pandemic and lies about it, will think twice.

they must pay a big price. let's see what world leaders have the cahoonas to do so.

ASSUMING this wasn't deliberately released by China, your logical but sharp attacks on me make much more sense now. And China releasing it on their people first and randomly killing some of them off? That's higher level thinking.

If i pick my nose wrong and start a worldwide pandemic, do you expect the US to pay off the world due to me picking my nose?

why are you and many on the left so intent on defending china? the pandemic started there and they lied. such courage on your part, criticize your own country for something they inherited, trying to resolve and defend the country started it all. i guess that is your idea of a 'higher level of thinking'.

and, yes, if you picked your nose, it began a virus that killed/infirmed thousands in america, then allowed many of those disease carriers to travel abroad, not allowed any outside countries access to data about the disease or observe the situation, and lied about it all, then the usa would be responsible.

and, i will stop posting when i decide.
