Re: Largest Jackpot witnessed in Casino on Video Poker
Anyone ever had a similar result ?? where they tossed everything and recieved on the draw something great???
While I haven't done it personally (it's on my bucket list), I did watch a friend toss all five cards, and get a royal on the redraw.

I have had 2 Royals by tossing all of the cards. One on a 50 cent game before Mohegan yanked the 8/5 BP games. The other was on a quarter job game. I have hit deuces quads several times over the years after tossing everything. One time I hit 4 aces and another time 4 aces with a 3, after tossing everything, but that was on a job game. There are probably a few other examples I can't recall, but remember these hits are over millions of hands so they were nice, but nothing out of the ordinary. My play for 2015 is slightly changing and going against the math a little bit. I am tossing more almost junk hands in hopes of getting hands like the above. This is especially true while playing airport deuces. Just a couple of examples are I will toss the ace,2,4 and keep the lone deuce on regular deuces wild. I am also thinkiing about tossing something like 2,5,7 or 2 6,8 and just keeping the lone deuce and like Ted, keep 2 deuces and toss most chances at a straight flush. Time will tell if it works out.

Does this qualify?
Sort of......as my post described, the game was 10 line and he "hit" on 6 of the 10......but this is in the ballpark even if it is only 3 handed and only 1 hand actually "hit" on the redraw!!!Congrats...and I will not belabor the fact that we have no way of knowing IF this is really yours, I will simply CHOOSE to believe this is legitimately YOURS ..... Afterall, I was relating my post from second hand info that I myself did NOT actually witness, and even though I have never known my cousin to flat out LIE about anything, she does drink every now and then so.......I will also comment that, you clearly are NOT what I would call a "casual" player if you are willing to blow 30 bucks a deal on such a game with the displayed paytable.....I guess its a good thing you do win 80% of the time otherwise you'd be broke.

DaBurglar you are wrong. Because I AM a casual player I pay less attention to the paytables than some other more serious players do.
If you recall the post I made that went with this picture I said at this level I was playing with a strict loss limit.
Careful DaBurglar; your green eyes are glowing...

My cousin reports last month she saw a woman in Borgata playing 25 cent 10 line STP DDB....the lady was dealt absolute crap and tossed the whole shebang.....she had a multiplier of 8......the 10 complete redraws she received had among them two full houses, quad 4s withouta kicker and one flush.......and two hands with a pair of jacks or better! think about that......she tosses everything and gets on the draw four made hands (including a premium quad) and a couple freebies to boot! She gets a fat "minor jackpot" of about $1,050 or so......!!!!Not a "HUGE" or biggest jackpot contender, but still a great example of turning shiiiite into gold.....or something like that!Anyone ever had a similar result ?? where they tossed everything and recieved on the draw something great???Speaking of tossing everything away and getting a nice hit. I was playing Ultimate X on a 10-line 25 cent DDB game a year or so ago. On the coming hand, I had a 10X multiplier on one hand and zilch on the other 9. I got dealt garbage and dumped all five cards. On the hand with the 10X multiplier, I drew 4 Aces (no kicker) for a jackpot of $2000.

Several years ago, at the Taj Mahal, some gent was dealt 4 Aces plus the Joker on Joker Triple Play machine, which paid him the progressive of $132k. That's the most I've witnessed someone winning.

Careful DaBurglar; your green eyes are glowing...No i do not recall.......but if you say so.....even still a "Strict loss limit" is simply an arbitrary number or amount that a infividual person would choose for them to observe ..... what the issue here is the fact (just as I stated) that you are spending 30 bucks per deal......that's fine, your choice.......but I am quite certain MOST of us here would NOT call spending 30 bucks a deal as "CASUAL"......unless you want to claim you are a "CASUAL high roller", which again is FINE.......but I guarantee you the CASINO in which you play and spend 30 bucks a deal does not think of you as a CASUAL player, they would have you on their radar as someone to watch and reward and offer all kinds of stuff.Semantics, perhaps.....but not envy sir. More like pity..... lol

You pity me because I have occasionally played at that level? My loss limit when playing at this level is $500.00, I AM QUITE CERTAIN this would not put me on a casino's radar. Have you been getting enough sleep?

loss limit is $500But don't they go by money that actually cycles through machines? Who knows what that would wind up being on that machine with $500 to tinker with?
