Sometimes when I'm playing in an extra dirty casino, I wonder if they make a body sized condom.  They should be issued at the door in AC.

If you are lucky, you win. If you are unlucky, you lose. Regardless of the strategy.

If, like me, you believe that there is a long-term undeniable, unbeatable casino advantage regardless of your strategy, then you hope that Lady Luck is riding that machine with you. You can change machines 50 times an hour, increase or decrease your denom, buy 100 how-to books, and attend millions of classes sponsored by the benevolent casinos, and yet it still all comes down to luck.

Right now I am lucky for 2018 and I am jealously guarding my winnings, knowing that I have had many unlucky years in the past (playing the exact same strategy as I am using in 2018).

FAA, if you are always holding four to the flush instead of only holding the 3 to the royal flush, that is eliminating one of the chances of getting the royal according to the 9/6 JOB normal strategy.

Well, always of late. My busts have really rattled me. I've gotten way too conservative! Can you give me the EV differential?

When you take a game that was created to entertain people and turn it into a business......
Where did you ever get the notion that a game played on a video poker machine is anything but a component of casino business?

The VPW software chart shows it is better to hold RF3 over FL4 by 0.91 coins. But if you put the exact cards in, the values will be higher or lower than that value. I think an example came up on the forum where holding 4 suited was better than 3 to the royal for 1 case. That was optimal play when looking at the penalty cards that were dealt too. This assumes 5 coins is a 4000 coin royal too. Also, hold 4 to a straight flush over 3 to the royal (except for a few dealt winning hands - look at the strategy chart).

I can guarantee if you hold 4 to a flush instead of 3 to the royal according to the strategy, you will not get a royal on the draw.

In 9/6 JoB, Four flush over 3 ROY when the 3 ROY has an A and 10 and the odd suited card is a 10 or straight penalty. Examples: Ah, Kh, 10h, 4h, Js or Ah, Kh, 10h, 4h, 10d
Where did you ever get the notion that a game played on a video poker machine is anything but a component of casino business?
Video poker machines are created to make money for the casinos.   If they don't, they won't be on the floor.   They are also entertaining.  If they weren't, people wouldn't play them.  Video poker is the same game if you play it for nickels or $100 a coin.   The buttons push the same, the screen looks the same and everything else is the same unless you hit a hand play then the music changes.   Players decide how much money they are willing to risk depending upon how big their jackpot dream is vs. how much money they are willing to lose to win it.   I believe all video poker machines have a built in house edge that no strategy can overcome.  If you're lucky, you can win short term. I have never seen any proof that anyone can beat a video poker machine long term (whatever that means).   We have been told it's possible, but nothing in the way of concrete indisputable documentation is ever shown.  I can say I'm a billionaire on this forum and you don't know for sure unless I post my tax returns and bank statements.  Even then you wouldn't know where I got my money.   Because I believe the house edge is unbeatable, I choose to play video poker small enough where the entertainment value I receive is worth the cost of my time and money.  If I increase my bet, all I am doing is paying more to play the same game with no additional benefit.  The odds don't matter to me because I believe the house will take my money regardless.  I play the best games I can find as computer perfect as I am able so I can play more hands with my money, not because I believe I will win long term.If a casino was going to give me something for playing bigger that I felt was worth the additional cost, I would consider it.  So far, they don't have anything that I can't buy cheaper on my own.

Previously, you stated video poker was created for entertainment purposes, and subsequently turned into a business. Now, you're saying something different. Do you even bother to read your stuff before posting?
