Re: COVID-19 Casino Impact
-while dems were wasting time on stormy, trump was helping grow the economy.
-while dems were wasting our time on russian collusion, trump was helping lower unemployment to historical lows
-while dems were pushing phony impeachment, trump was dealing with virus.
one after another democratic made up efforts to derail trump have failed, he keeps fighting for the american people. while liberals conjure up new ways to attack him, he;
-gets new trade agreements
-gets NATO members to pay more of their fair share
-gets china to buy more american goods
-gets millions off government assistance, by helping create them jobs
-he warns the country and the world about china. look at things now, they sent us the virus and lied.
-encourages american companies to bring business back home. do not rely on china for so much of our necessities. sure would be nice if all those needed masks, gowns, ventilators were all made here.
-reduces tax burden for all americans.
-reduces rules and regs that allow american companies to grow, more jobs
-he increases american workers wages, especially those at the bottom
-increase american consumer confidence
the list goes on and on. and, what do them dems do, hold up the rescue package, stick monies in to kennedy center which then lays off all it's musicians and look for more ways to criticize and complain.

America will always be divided on Trump. He had the gall to question Obama's birthplace. If Obama wasn't a black man, no one would have noticed. Trump promised to drain the swamp. The Washington swamp critters don't like being exposed. A good example is Hunter Biden. He knocks up a stripper then denied responsibility until a paternity test proved he's a liar. He was paid $50,000 a month in bribes for nothing other than access to the US presidency. The Clinton's fixed international law in return for contributions to their foundation. Now Obama is buying a 11 million dollar home. Get elected and cash in. It's been that way for years.
If all you do is listen to CNN, you will think Trump is the worst man alive. If all you do is listen to Fox News, you will think Trump is the second coming of Jesus. The media is playing us all for fools. Trump's not perfect. He's not the devil either. He's a successful businessman that knows how to grow an economy. Take your pick this November.

I don't like or dislike Trump. But I would never vote for him because I have a principled stand against draft dodgers. I never voted for Bill Clinton either, for the same reason. I believe that being commander in chief of the U.S. military is one of the most important roles, if not the most important, of a president. The leadership of our military should not be bestowed on anyone who willfully evaded the draft. In the 1990s, I would actually wince when I would see Clinton on TV throwing a salute to the Marine guards at the White House. Now I wince when I see Trump doing the same.

rascal, i personally have no problem accepting your reason for not voting for either Clinton or Trump.
Your reason is based on the truth. I respect that.
But the Trump haters only reason for their irrational rage is that he derailed their big government plans and defeated their heir apparent and somehow "stole" the election.
They are blinded by their hatred and can see or hear nothing else

rascal, previously i thanked all for their military service. i will always be grateful. i also respect your position.
as an interesting exercise;
-would you vote for someone who you considered a draft dodger or someone with obvious mental lapses?
-would you vote for someone you consider a draft dodger or a socialist/communist?
-would you vote for someone you consider a draft dodger or someone you consider incompetent?
would you refuse medical care from someone you felt was a draft dodger? would you rather have a doctor, dentist, plumber, electrician or any other service you or your family may require, from an inferior provider, over someone with superior talents, who you might consider a draft dodger?

Notes, Tech58, thanks for understanding my point of view. A welcome change on this particular thread.
If the president of the United States did not also hold the command of the U.S. military I might feel differently about either Trump or Bill Clinton. But he does, and as such his moral ability and moral fitness to hold such a command should be *unquestionable* by his subordinates. My plumber, physician, dentist, or electrician is not eligible to become the Commander in Chief of U.S. forces, so that isn't relevant to the initial point I made. As I wrote, Notes, it is a point I believe in as a matter of principle ---- it has nothing to do with my political philosophy.
I will say this: I have heard outstanding veterans that I deeply respect say that they are willing to overlook Trump's draft dodger status because his political views coincide with theirs, or that they believe even with his faults he is the lesser of evils. I respect that. However, my own personal opinion is that honorable military service should be a requirement of anyone who seeks to become Commander in Chief. Willfully evading your country's call to service is not even close to being honorable.

You have EARNED the right to your beliefs.
Our progressive socialist lib's have earned NOTHING!!
They are fighting Trump"s efforts for purely POLITICAL REASONS!!
This should be remembered by voters in November!

As usual you are just spewing nonsense. Everybody in this country has earned the right to their opinion. As a moderate I am more worried about the far right than I am the far left. I don't share the beliefs of Sanders and others in this country but even more worrisome to me is a president with authoritarian tendencies who is vastly unqualified to lead and bring people together.tech58 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 31, 2020 5:11 pmRascal, first and foremost, thank you for your service to your country.

What gives you the right to try to bully and intimidate and squash others beliefs? You have the right to your opinions, people like myself that are in the middle have the right to our opinions, and the people on the left have their rights as well. Let go of all the hate speak. I have watched enough Hannity and Limbaugh over the years that I know all of your talking points and positions.

Illinois Governor J Billionaire Pritzker has officially extended the stay at home order until at least April 30, 2020.
I could run out of toilet paper by then. I'm hopeful that Webman won't start running reruns of Phil's posts much like the way ESPN is rerunning old sporting events. Oh wait: Phil does that all on his own.
Kidding, kidding.
