Re: Just a thought
I see the math experts don't understand so they try to thro insults because there little babies/kids math experts.( I want get my way(Iam right) I am a math expert)
All of the "math experts" I know are competent in other areas, as well. They can, for example, write effectively, with correct spelling and punctuation, and in properly constructed (per the rules of English grammar) sentences and paragraphs.

The interesting thing about measurement conversions, like metric to imperial and vice versa, is it is completely and accurately described by simple math (like C = 5/9 (F - 32)). The very same math that is used in VP calculations.

I feel like metric conversions are a lot easier though. Maybe because I have done a lot more of them with only the aid of a calculator. There are a lot more pitfalls by doing video poker math with just a calculator.

It's all basically the same simple math. Just a lot more of it.

Ok, math experts if I need to explain it you it has nothing to do with video poker, it was to show that there are two different math system with two different numbers to measure the same distance if you don't understand,(which you do to some degree) well the country will rely on you for are future oh no! I hope are future generation(kids) thinks out side the box and don't listen(only the good stuff) to people like you and you keep saying the same thing over and over are country would always be the same millions of years down the road if they listen to you.(lol!)New things are invented thinking out side the box, and unfortutate you are all stuck in the box with all the correct answers for video poker only, but in the future who knows one of these kids is going break these codes/computer chips or come up with new number system ect.ect.ect. when it comes to video poker, but if they listen to people like you they never will brake into something new. Sad! Sad means you don't get it! So be good kids or were going to tell your parents on you!(lol!)

shadoman i see what your saying but in truth it is about the money, not pcts.Your numbers of 5000 and 4900 that equals 98pct are good in theroy, but the bottom linr is you lost the 100 dollars you began with return is negitve.I iam in the auto buisness for 40 years, i control if i win or lose with my knowledge of the buisness.if i buy 100 vehicles and profit on over 90 that is A+ in my field.I alone control my wins and losses.I am sure you are great vp player and over the long run those numbers can show a result. It takes deep pockets and will power, but in the end the Machine controls the outcome,The casinos control the machine and they keep building those billion dollars hotel. We all are on the same page we would like to win more and have a good time, thats why we pay VP,but in the end like robert deniro said in the movie casino in they end they get it all.

Raven, the reason casinos can build billion dollar hotels is because they can do the math. There is nothing magical about VP math.
If you've ever played tic-tac-toe you would know that it cannot be beaten with a simple strategy. The reason this is known to be a fact is one can "solve" the game mathematically. That is, look at all possible combinations of plays.
Well, that is how VP strategies were formulated, by simply looking at all possible combinations of deals and draws. Now, if you believe like Sam does you don't believe that this can be done. If you accept simple math can, in fact, solve the game, then you need to accept that it is possible to beat some games.
The reason I provided the example I did was primarily to show that losing at negative games is exactly what people should expect. However, some people seem to think that if they lose it comes down to rigged machines. This is not the case, losing on negative machines is the expected outcome.

No I didn't. I knew, considering the nature of my post, how stupid it would be to make such an error, so I looked the word up to check the spelling - and typed it incorrectly anyway! Oh well...
