as i expected from the posters, lots and lots of good ideas, about cutting the losses. i just think we all (including myself), need to remember that each person is different and their situation may be different. some may hate playing wild card games, some may not live near a casino-so going for a short time period is impossible, others would rather put a gun to their head than bang away at JOB all day, some just might not be able to play at a slow pace, etc.  the good news is that folks are giving their ideas and it might help someone else. also think it helps everyone to know that others are also trying to find ways to play the game they enjoy, but keep the budget in place.

I hope you weren't going in and out of max coin on the progressive?DJC, indeed I was. Not smart, but it tamps down losses. The machines were ice cold. Pot shot when I felt the impulse. It's not the systematic Phil method either. Think darting in and out of lanes on a freeway. A chore to break even and bid farewell.

I also used to play dollars and it took me a long time to learn to like quarters.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Yes, sir. I'm doing it in reverse so far. I've strayed from low pressure Jimmy Buffett quarter play to stressed day trading mode on dollars. Time to go back to JB JOB. (Way Back Machine Reply)
