MPD - I guess some people are more disciplined than others. About 10 years ago I was walking through the office and someone had placed a box of doughnuts on a table in the common area and I walked by without grabbing a doughnut. A coworker asked me HOW I could walk by those doughnuts and not take one and I responded simply by telling this coworker that I didn't want one. That's discipline.
pokerforme - thank you for the kind words and good luck to you.

Hey Ted,
Great Trip Report!!! I too have had to visit BofA in Vegas on many occasions after several extraordinary wins. It's a PITA, due to the paperwork involved when making a large cash deposits. But it beats the heck out of having your cash confiscated if you get pulled over by an aggressive interdiction patrolman. In addition my, CPA once warned me of using the ATM's for deposits because they could be construed to be structured deposits as they only accept 40 Hundreds at a time. Keep up the good work. I believe that Dr. Peale nailed it with his book, The Power of Positive Thinking.

Thanks CK, that's not the first time I've made a deposit at BofA prior to leaving Las Vegas. To me its more convenient than going through the airport wondering if your cash will make the return trip with you. On my flight out I left paper money in my front pocket and I got a scolding from a TSA officer. I politely told him that I wasn't going to put a roll of cash into my pail and hope that it came out the other side of the conveyor belt intact. Good luck to you.

WTH is everyone talking about here??? Cash being confiscated???? "Structured deposits via ATM?!?!?!First off, being "Scolded by a TSA officer" just because you had some money in your front pocket is ridiculous......what do you mean "Scolded"?!?!? What a crock......and then you haughtily told him in so many words that he and his co-workers are either Thieves or totally Incompetent when you insinuated that if you had put the money in the plastic bin it would somehow not be there waiting for you when you passed thru!!!!! I am calling you on this totally full of crap story!!!! lol What did you do with your wallet, your ticket and your other valuables? Why would you trust them to pass thru in the plastic bin and not cash as well? Also you do realize that this is all being filmed by about 50 security cameras and the people running the scanners and conveyor are themselves being watched by their bosses, etc. NO ONE is going to steal your money....and if by some infinitesimal chance, some STUPID PASSENGER ahead of you tried to take it? Assuming you yourself could not see it or keep your eye on your valuables as you walked thru, the moment you exclaim "HEY someone stole my <whatever>" the whole area goes on lockdown, security stops everyone and the tapes are immediately reviewed and the guilty party would be busted.......and we are talking about two of the most secure airports in CHicago and Vegas here.....!This is the most absurd thing I have heard in a long time......PS-- Edited to add....you DO NOT win 80% of the time, I dont care how many Doughnuts you said "NO" to...... PSS - positive thinking, negative thinking, creative thinking, theoretical thinking, "Stinking thinking", Abstract Thinking, Cosmic Thinking, etc etc etc..... has NO impact on the little RNG chippies inside the typical VP game........

WTH is this??? Paperwork when making a "large cash deposit"? huh? other than a deposit slip, I am lost here.......exactly how much are you talking about???? What cash is being confiscated by an "intediction patrolman"? What on earth are you talking about? And why not simply flash one of your numerous handguns and tell the bastard to buzz off "OR ELSE....!"?And you need to fire your CPA (unless this too is another totally BS story out of Ted's book) because, unless you are making regular ATM deposits of 8 or 9 grand (like everyday, same amounts, for weeks on end), a simple ATM Deposit of several thousand dollars (say between 3 and 5 thousand) done a couple of times over a several day long period of time in a place like Vegas is NOT going to set off any alarm bells in anyone's cubicle!!!! Good grief!

DaBurglar you really are a sad, sad, person.
Yes I was scolded by the TSA agent for not completely emptying my pockets and keeping the cash in my pocket. Besides having the cash with me I also had 6 watches packed in my suitcases that were worth many times what I had in my pocket but the difference being is that the watches are insured and the cash wasn't.
You just refuse to accept the fact that I win when playing and you, um, don't. You should think about cutting your dosage of angry pills there buddy...

And what did he say back to you when you told him the money would either be lost or stolen if you entrusted it to him?? Seriously, this whole story is so full of holes it belongs on a slice of rye bread.....And what would you need to bring 6 valuable watches (so valuable in fact you had them insured?) to Vegas with you??? Pawn them to fuel your obvious gambling losses? Wow this just gets better and better.....And yes......i REFUSE to accept the fiction that you win as much and often as you insist, simply because.....no one else is....The only person who needs pills here is you, some sort of professional help pronto.

do not claim to know lot about this subject, but have now read a couple of stories about gamblers having cash confiscated, when travelling through neighboring states. this is an effort by authorities to target drug dealers and some gamblers have been caught up in this. also, do know that authorities have/are targeting businesses with large number of 'cash transactions'. used to be they only looked at transactions starting at the $10k level, but that theshold has been lowered. again, looking for drug transactions and tax avoiders. they are seriously checking out 'structuring'. these problems are one of the reasons some give for using casino credit. no cash involved. but, i would not do it. never heard of problems at TSA.

You know what?I do not care.....I just read notes1 good, honest report from AC, and I just realized that in regards to anyone (Ted, or whomever) who has some inherent need to believe in something that seems unrealistic, knock yourself out.I am on record as saying I do not choose to buy it.......I do not need to say this anymore.SO I wont......Angry TSA personnel, gold watches, Prozac Nation, etc. It all is the same to me, and I no longer care.....

DaBurglar I brought the watches because I like to have a choice. Pawn them? I doubt it pal. I also brought 14 shirts, 2 sport coats, and one suit, Again, to have a choice. Let me guess, when you go to Atlantic City you think you're styling because you have a clean baseball cap on your head and a clean t-shirt on?
I eat neither Swiss cheese nor rye bread.
I actually brought 7 watches with me; I packed 6 and wore one of the Tag's.
