damule, good job! there is such an effort to bad mouth trump, we cannot just allow all this junk/lies/rumors to go uncontested.

the left (and the media) are supposed to be the educated group that believes in the facts.

Great post Mule. I learned something, and maybe others have to.
Forget the progressive socialist lib. cool-aid drinkers. They never LEARN anything. Their ignorance is rooted in the fact that they think they KNOW everything already.
Tweaking them can be fun, but unfair, since it is a battle of wits with an unarmed man.

Ditto....Probably some of the most ignorant posts I’ve ever seen on the forum.

People with TDS don't do homework. They just repeat what the msm feeds them.

I have to point out the ignorance of this post. Donald Trump has never filed a personal bankruptcy. The chapter 11 bankruptcy filings were failed business ventures.
America's bankruptcy laws grew out of our founding father's experiences in the old country. In old Europe, if you had a dept that you couldn't pay, they threw you in jail. Business ventures involve risk. If you lock up the business creators, you destroy the very thing that you are attempting to encourage... entrepreneurship. Business owners know this and take the fact that they may not get paid into consideration before they get involved in a project. However, this doesn't make you feel any better about losing money.

When I was a young man just starting in business, I thought every invoice I mailed out was going to get paid. I thought business was done on a handshake and that everyone looked out for one another. I wrote my first contract in Miami around 1971. Miami is full of shysters who could care less if I got paid or when. They wanted the best price, the best service and they wanted to take their sweet time paying me. This is how they do business in NY. I survived, but I learned a lesson... get a big deposit.

Personally, I think Trump is one hell of a businessman and the best President I have seen in my lifetime. The guy has so much energy, it's amazing. Unfortunately, he comes with baggage that is tough to deal with. He reminds me of those NY businessmen I had to deal with in Miami. Someone described him recently as "A pilot with tattoos. You want to fire him, but he's a hell of a pilot so you don't!"

And now cryin Chuck and negative Nancy are holding up the aid bill. They don't care about the people, they are just trying to make sure they don't get thrown out with the bathwater when the AOC crowd takes control of the party. It won't work. They are gone anyway.

I could better understand it and maybe even sympathize if Trump's bankruptcies were reorganizations, and working out a partial payment system for his creditors. Nope. He liquidated and stiffed literally hundreds of small contractors. Has never accepted one bit of responsibility, blaming it on others, just as today he blames all of his many, many problems in governing on the media or the Democrats. Tremendous integrity! LOL! As I wrote earlier, I'll be here on November 4, the day after the election. I wonder if some of the brainwashed Trumpet groupies will be here????

the majority of trump's much publicized bankruptcies center around atlantic city and the hotel/casino business. i remember on this very forum, a much discussed conversation, about the problems in atlantic city in general, and not specific only to trump.

i have not been to AC in years, but i who used to fly there, via casino charters, every month. i can say from experience, that the area around the casinos was a sewer then and i am guessing, they still are. this occurred despite a state tax paid by casino owners to buy up and fix the areas around the casinos, to make the entire AC experience feel safer and offer more options than just gaming. but, instead, elected pols squandered the millions on a variety of causes that did nothing to improve the area. local government workers received generous pay and retirement benefits. if i recall correctly, a bunch of the money was diverted to another part of the state.

then came the debt crisis of 08-09 and the proliferation of indian casinos and nearly every state offering their own casinos, as a employment boost and a state tax revenue producer. the combination of increased state and indian casinos, a crushed economy and AC not improving it's physical condition (like vegas has often done), brought nearly all AC casinos to their knees. there were many casino closings.

at one time, AC had a monopoly on gaming on the east coast. they did not improve their overall product, and players went elsewhere, mainly closer to home. this had nothing to do with trump.
