Re: The Overall State of things in General
the change is few 100% + games playing 97% games or less players have no chance that's why good players are finding other games like live poker as I do and playing it well

Actually I am winning more this last group of 5 years, 2014-2009 than 2008-2003. I've also hit more royals 2014-2009 than 2008-2003. My golf game has suffered though.

Guys how many of you win like you did back. before 2007-2008 era. Most won a lot more and more often and could get some real play for your dollar. The truth is solid players had a good chance. That day has passed the casinos are taking no prisoners. There will always be the believers that think every thing is on the square, Simple answer just ask yourself what I mention above the truth is most are not winning like they use to.Well said....totally agree and wish more people here would discuss (and speculate on) why things are like this.......beyond the platitudes, like "paytables suck" .....you hit upon casinos taking no prisoners......this is a good point, and one that players need to start focusing on more.Imagine what would happen if, for one month, all (or most) casino patrons and gamblers agreed to layoff play and save their money......just to drive home a point with the casinos, that they NEED us more than we need them. THEN, and only then, would their ridiculous attempts be exposed, attempts to maintain or restore revenue levels to pre-2001 figures by taking away even the most basic freebies and by charging inane and absurd "resort fees" and "good time taxes" ..... Casinos need to re-calibrate their expectations to the changing business economy and reality.Even in AC, where the shrinking has been growing ...... last year the casinos still made 235 million dollars profit.......thats PROFIT. there is still money to be made and profits to be had, but the casinos need to realize it will NEVER again be like it was.....concentrate on building a new reality. Give back to the players much of what they took awa, and the revenues will at the very least stop declining and may start growing again.

Casinos need to re-calibrate their expectations to the changing business economy and reality. And I was thinking that the economy was improving? Wow, how wrong I was.

Casinos need to re-calibrate their expectations to the changing business economy and reality. And I was thinking that the economy was improving? Wow, how wrong I was.the economy IS improving....IF you happen to be in the top 3% income/asset bracket or be an oversized company with a 10% or higher industry share......for everyone esle it is either running in place or more likely losing ground.....Income Inequality is actually more of a driver now thanit actually was back in the 1890s early 20th centruy, when Rockefeller had a fortune of 660 BILLION (with a BEE) dollars, or roughly 45% of the US TOTAL wealth at that time...carnegie was close behind before he voluntarily starting giving it all away.....this is what prompted Teddy roosevelt (a STAUNCH REPUBLICAN) to start trust busting and ending monopolies in order to level the playing field.....he was smart enough to know, even though he was very rich himself, that an severely unequal economy is bad in the long term for EVERYONE.Of course, he also liked to shoot things dead )like Rhinos, lions and the occasional beefaloe) and said his greatest moment in life was charging up san juan hill into the teeth of machine gun fire.....crazy psycho loco man!

Ted grow up. I can understand your frustration with his ongoing VP and AC stuff but you are acting like a child following him around and baiting him when he is not even talking VP. Seems like your "excuse" to attack him has past.

Yeah but it was pretty funny though. As for growing up, well, I just don't know how to respond to that.

Yeah but it was pretty funny though. As for growing up, well, I just don't know how to respond to that.nah this one was not funny, not even like your "thumb" remark, and your mockery of my coining "dud" to simplify the expression of when a player gets a losing no value hand, well, it is typical of what you pull all the time.....See, I made my post, like I always do, with earnest expression....I was not attacking or mocking anyone (except perhaps MYSELF) as I tried to discuss the issue of the economy, which is NOT unrelated or irreelvant to this forum or to video poker in general; in fact it is VERY relevant. Unlike what you repeatedly claim, I do not take potshots at you or even try to bait you or mock you or whatever, and when I post it is usually to (and for) the entire viewing audience......YOU however Ted, cannot make this claim....you CONSTANTLY jump in and on my posts before anyone else, usually killing what I hope will be interesting, stimulating dialogue....you are the ultimate thread killer. I mean seriously, what's your problem? I find it both hillarious and disturbing that I (and I alone) prompt you to take this tact with me no matter what I post or say or express, etc.I told you before, you really are only hurting yourself, but you dont seem to care....fine, dont care. But how about just laying off this repeated POACHING of my posts and being the first one to jump on me without giving anyone else first crack......I do not want to hear from you. I much rather want other people to respond, even if its to vehemently disagree with me, because at least with them I know its serious and sincere, whatever their point of view happens to be.....hell, even Vman who clearly cannot stand me is more interesting than YOU.Just leave me alone for once, huh? UNLESS.....UNLESS, you truly have something NON-personal to say or relevant to the topic at hand and adds to the discussion.I'll even ask nicely....PLEASE stop poaching (and mocking) my posts.

Da Burglar how could Teddy Roosevelt have any reference what so ever with video poker?
If you didn't see the humor in my post that's tough. As for being a "thread killer" I have been called worse things and you of all people should have first hand knowledge of that.
