Re: Are These Games Rigged?
I have seen something similar at Mohegan Sun. I attribute it there to a poorly maintained machine. Sometimes I hold a card and before I hit deal, the hold disappears and since you are in motion you hit deal without having kept the card that you wanted. I lost a quad once. Playing a bit slower helps. Give the machine a chance to not undo the hold.

I'm thinking a Class Action Lawsuit could start right here now that we have two believers. I'll post a signup sheet in the hall. Anyone know some hungry Lawyers?
If you including me in the "two believers" specifically regarding Phil's incident and what he saw, that's incorrect. I personally have not seen what Phil is reporting....my own personal views and experience in AC are far more involved, nuanced and operational, and over the years I have made it very clear that it is the everyday results from seemingly "normal" 99% games that are far out of whack... I'm of the opinion the results are controlled and manipulated in such a way that allows the casinos to manage cash flow and profit better, mainly because for a long time they were fighting for their very existence.
Phil has also reported abysmal results...of course he was only here briefly in AC whereas I was reporting over a period of five years, 2011-2016.
Today, in 2018, things may be more normalized given a friendlier economy and the mood of the city/industry being positive.
I'm still certain that the quality and level of oversight in AC is nothing like you'd find in Nevada/Vegas....room for doubt and error in my opinion.

We don't actually know his loss, just the amorphous minimal damage description. So it's hard to know how to feel about his trip.

This happens so fast it's hard to notice unless you are looking right at it. My wife first noticed it when she held 4 cards and was waiting to see the new card. The card blinked but did not change. When it happened the second time, she told me. We called the attendant, told her what was happening and she called the manager on her phone. We waited around, but he never showed.
Anyone can verify this, but you must know what you are looking for. It's very subtle.

I don't think it would be as subtle as you think. I think the delayed draws threw you off and you got the opposing same-colored suit. I don't know why those delayed draws happen sometimes, but they do. Same card draws do not.

But his wife drew a Royal drawing three with a suboptimal hold...he wasn't claiming it was rigged then!
If I was rigging a machine, I probably would reduce or even possibly eliminate the possibility of that draw ever succeeding. Generally, I would just shave the likelihood of Royals and other big hands and increase the house edge by a few percent. The more the casino rigs it, the more obvious it will be. The above scenario would be much more difficult to prove cheating than what Phil claimed.

Phil was fast with the camera to take a picture of his wife's royal while the machine was still counting up. Then he tells us of the many rigged machines, goes and plays again, and can't take pictures of the final sceen when it happened two more times? Why not write down the location, machine number, and game being played to really warn other AC players?

That could simply just be what THEY WANT YOU TO THINK, but in reality by allowing these so-called "miracle draws" to hit, it distracts the average player (i.e. people who are no where near as smart as YOU VMAN!) You cannot underestimate the forces of darkness that inhabit our world, or especially the offices of your typical struggling American Casino!I've been very consistent during my periods of stories of woe from 2011-2016 when I played a lot.....I did see the usual "big hits", but the problem was I saw FAR more dead or "dud" non-paying hands than the expected average rate for such garbage hands.....nearly every trip I made from 2011-2016, usually one trip every month (4-6 weeks on average actually), with the trip(s) lasting anywhere from 5 to 10 days and involving anywhere from 40,000 to 100,000 hands per trip! And 90% of my play was on games over 99% return (8/5 Bonus Poker was a primary culprit, and 9/7 DB too)

Just avoid all games with the word Bonus. It's a bonus for them, but bogus for you.
