Re: Harrah's Diamond Cove
My plan isn't maneuver to break even, just so happens to happen occasionally.
Where do you get inferior to Caesars?
And I rake in TCs because I get 1 or 2 every hand.

Maneuver may be the wrong word. Just leave after tallying solid coin in with about the same BR at the start, a solid effort. That's how you rake without getting raked. Regarding inferior tables, there is no full pay JOB or BP in the Cove, unless you can prove me wrong.

Got antsy and with all the great hits posted here lately, I decided to make an overnighter. No great promos, gift offers, concerts or any special events. Wanted to avoid a holiday since the last three trips were on holidays and got smoked each time.
Avoided traffic, arrived around 2 pm and checked into an Atrium mini suite, 11th floor.
Plunked down at the usual row in the Cove, played the usual 9/7 TDB Double Pay and proceeded to lose about 800 bucks. Was dealt a lot of trips but couldn't convert. Had this hand where there was no room left for the spade Ace:
That happened more than once, but that's the way it goes...
About an hour in, the AWAK that's been AWOL finally was delivered- this time there was room left for the Ace of spades! First AWAK since last August.
Had only this one 4RF:
Maybe someday I'll get the 5RF...
Played a while giving back most of the hand pay, but really didn't want to have a loss this session so I quit early. Quads tamed: K, Aw/2, 4. Finished with 1600 TC and +$400.
Good luck all.

Thanks all. Yeah Doris, they're my favorite, right up there with the Bayview rooms with the tubs...Atrium is a quiet tower- never had an issue with noise, rowdiness, etc.

I actually had a bit of a discipline fail when I went up in denomination for a few hundred credits. I have been trying to keep at a dollar but when I got up to 700 credits at one point I went for it. Then I guess that triggered the "mechanism" cause I hit virtually nothing. It's all timing and my timing was wrong on that front.
Overall I was malnourished from a dealt bonus perspective with only 5 dealt straights, 5 dealt flushes and just one dealt full house. No dealt quads either, though frustratingly close.
