Re: Royalless streak continues
Another weekend another 9K hands 321k total now. This progressive I have been playing for over 10 years used to hit like clockwork around $5,100 - $5,300. Of course sometimes higher many times lower. The last 4 times it has hit now it has gone over $7,500. Over the past 10 years I have seen it only reach over 7k 3 times in total.

474,000 hands. No comment!!!
Something isn't adding up. For 474,000 hands, you are expected to get about 12 royals. The odds of not getting any royals n 474,000 hands in about 20,000-1. Its almost impossible.
Am I missing something?

You are not missing a thing. That is why I am just about done with vp in Ct. As a matter of fact, another short session last night about 3k hands with no Royal. Only job last night. And people wonder I think something is not right with the machines!!! Could be jsut bad luck, but the probability of this record is nearly 100,000 to one now because I haven't even counted all of the no Royal hands on Multi line games where none hit on any of the lines. I am only counting the deal line and draws on the dealt hand in the 474k hands. In other words, no dealt Royals and no drawn Royals since last September.

494,000 hands now. All job last night. Caught a few quads, but still no bargain. Funny story about last night's play. I had no intention of going up there last night. Wife had to work late, meetings etc. It was around dinner time soooo...! Anyway an hour or so later I was having dinner. Heard a really good band in the Wolf Den and went over there to check it out. Right near the entrance to the den there were a few of the old 1/2 cent machines. The ones where you need the 3 ovals for the jackpot. Dropped a 10 for fun while I was enjoying the band and pretty soon. 2 ovals and a red 7 hit. Now I had 30 bucks. Band was done for the night so I cashed out and stuck the $ a quarter machine but just was playing Florida Phil's One Coin Quarters for a little down time. Of course 5 of a kind hits on Joker Kings. Now I had 80 bucks or so. Dropped in another 20 so I would have an even hundred and played about 5 hours on JOB the usual way with 5 coins or more. Caught a few stray quads, but of course no Royal after another 3k hands, the hundred eventually disappeared, picked up some food to go for tomorrow/today and headed home. Just missed the sunrise.
6k more hands without a Royal and I am done with vp in Ct. Mohegan Sun are you listening???. May all be a coincidence, but it is too much so for me. Maybe back to craps if I can take the hours of standing. Will see how it goes. At least with craps and 10 times free odds, I am supposedly playing even up the the house.

The odds bet in craps is the only 'true odds bet' in a casino, meaning that your return paid is exactly what the odds dictate. There is no house edge.
Good luck..

Speaking of craps, Horseshoe used to offer 100X, I wonder if they still do? Anyone?

I hope this will not be the story in the Sunday paper. Last chance will be this Friday night and Sat AM.
FLASH......Local man wins Royalless contest...A local man won a nationwide contest by playing 500k video poker hands and not hitting a Royal Flush. The sponsoring casino Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Ct. was thrilled to have the action and offered incentives like free rooms and food to keep the players coming. Their reward was untold sums of cash from the players and was rumored to be quite substantial. Thousands of players competed nationwide in various casinos. The grand prize is a photo of a naked man standing in a barrel framed in cheap hard plastic with Sucker! spelled out in gold lettering across the front of the barrel. Second prize went to a player nicknamed SPX who was awarded the same photo without the frame. Both the winner and runner up declined to be interviewed and were last seen heading to their local taverns for a cold one.
