Re: My Journey on Video Poker
I don't comment here much, but I appreciate this thread to remind people what a rollercoaster ride 99%-100% games can be, and why it's important to play the best game possible, because the lower paying versions will just eat your money faster in the bad times, and give you smaller wins in the good times...

A bottom of the 9th grand slam tonight!
Played on .25c triple play deuces again...and why not? Three times the fun and doing allright.
Well, tonight I was pretty sure that it was donation time because nothing was really happening, but was playing a long time...down to less than $100 I guess the machine decided it was still W time and flopped me the ducks for a $750 hit. So ended up cashing out of it +$360. Not to be outdone, in a rare play of slot machine, played wheel of fortune. Found it mindless but can see the appeal (and addiction) of so many to the slots. I guess video poker can fit that category, but at least in video poker there is some thought, some strategy, some engagement. Wheel of fortune slots? Just mindless hitting of the button and looking around. Nevertheless, somehow managed to book a win of +$100 with several spins of the wheel. So I guess it all counts, +$460 total.
Cheers!

Great Dan, I LOVE seeing dealt quad deuces. My suggestion though would be to hold the 5th card too if the hand cannot be improved by catching an ace or any other kicker card.

****Hit the Monster! Hit the monster!****
I would of been satisfied with a quad deuce, but no,
Had to flop the Royal! On .25c triple play deuces, $3,000!
Things weren’t looking good. Started with $500 and was down to $80 at one point. Rallied up to $175 when I took a spin and whammy Royal 👑! Going to play a bit longer I think, or might not. We will see. Will update as soon as they pay me. It’s taking awhile.
Cheers!
P.S. started playing again, was going down fast and tired so just called it a night. Profit of +$2,615 for this one.

Telling people to stay home if all they have is bad games does nothing to help the problem. Obviously the best choice is to play only the best games. If your choice is to play bad games or not play at all, there are other options.Keep up these posts. I would like to see more of them.

Odds of flopping a Royal Flush...1 in 649740. I guess I am going to have to wait a while until this might happen again...
Quitting? Never. Winners never quit, quit never wins. However, that doesn't mean that now it's time to be stupid and play $5 triple play or something.
Whatever the game is it will still be quarter play. Not sure. Maybe I'll take a shot at the sequential royal game. I don't think I ever got a sequential royal, but if I did on one of those machines, I think it's almost $30 grand for single line quarter. Don't know, in sort of an adventurous mood, which could be a good or bad thing...usually it's the latter.
Cheers!

Congrats on the triple royals. I have never had a dealt Royal. I hope mine comes while playing multi-line too.

Decided to mix up the play with slots to try to disguise ap video poker...in the hopes of getting mailers and free play again. Whether it works or not remains to be seen. At any rate, don’t know much about slots which is probably a good thing. However....
Had beginners luck and wondering if that is slots evil way of sucking me in. I won’t fall for it, and will play sporadically, but took $500 to just mess around with and started with some kind of reel 7’s game. Ended up +300 on this game that I didn’t understand. Then went to a buffalo game...a game I at least understand a bit having played it in the past...I see a lot of locals donk their money on. Max betted the whole time. Long story short, got some amazing hits and realized how important multipliers are to slot machines. Won approximately +$1000 on the buffalo and ended up for the night +$1356.
At this rate it’s going to be a good Christmas.
Cheers!
