Well...technically speaking tonight was a win...but should of been more.
Started with the .25c triple double bonus and hit the ducks not too far into it...+201.So far so good, but I got sucked into the slot play on that reel 7 game a bit too long. Was going to stop if I dropped to a 100 and didn’t. So, a gentle reminder this time of the dangers of slots and to really set strict boundaries on them if to play them at all.
So, the math being what it is, +$1.00 for the session.
Cheers

Little of this, little of that...
Well, had every intention of taking a shot at .50c triple play deuces tonight, a higher stakes game for me at a $500 buy-in, which is $7.50 a spin, pretty much a pot shot but doable with the recent wins. Unfortunately, this casino gives only the inferior 97.97% ER version. No thanks. Would have to go to the $1 triple play for the 98.9% version and just didn’t want to play $15 a spin.
So, decided to go to 5 play .25c deuces wild (98.9%) version. I’ve played some 5 play in the past, but not for awhile or a lot.
First the positives of 5 play: 1. Lower variance as you now get 4 more draws than single line. 2. Play more hands faster and can get ducks or a Royal faster than single line. 3. Earn points 5 times as fast as single play.
Now the negatives. 1. $6.25 a spin versus $1.25 a spin. 2. Blanks can make one go down in a hurry. 3. Hitting a quad or full house does not make a profitable spin.
This result was a good one as I hit 3 quad ducks at different stages of the game. I hit the first one fairly early, go up to $750 (started with $500) then after some time, drop all the way down to around $300. But then fought back a bit and hit another ducks and around $650-700 again. Then drop a bit before hitting the ducks a 3rd time and cash out at $802.50 ($302.50 profit).
Then decide to take a 100 and play some slots, where I play a bit and cash out of that quick hit game up .20c on it lol was walking out the door when I saw that hundred play game I said I would give a go a little while back. So played .1c 100 play max bet ($5 a spin) deuces wild bonus. Discovered after I blink my eyes and down $75 that a good flop goes a long way in this game. At any rate, give back a hundred before exiting the casino and end this session up $202.70.
Cheers

Disaster on slots/success at video poker...
Well, it was supposed to be payback night for the winning run, but I refused to accept the memo!
Started with $500 and made the decision to bounce around slot machines betting max of $2 and if down $50, go to the next one and etc. well, started with a game called Texas Tina and lost the first $50 quickly. Then went to a six bank of buffalo games and was hoping from buffalo machine to the next, losing $50 after $50. Finally on the last $150 just stuck to one buffalo machine and went busto.
For good tilt measure and to make sure I lose the maximum, lol, I put in another $100 and lost that too. So in under an hour, down -$600 off the bat. I deserved what I got and figured it was just one of those nights that was guaranteed to come. However....!!!!!
I realized I didn’t put in any video poker. So I took another $500 and jumped on the .25c 5 play deuces game. Pretty quickly hit the deuces and thought okay, maybe I can salvage something from my folly. Then after a bit of a spell, held two deuces and ping, another quad deuce and up to $900 (up $400 on the game). Then I thought, could it really happen that I can come back and actually come out ahead after such an awful start? Well, the answer was yes, as I miss two one card to a Royal draws, but hit enough royals with deuce and 5 of a kinds to eak out a profit as I cash out of the game at $1,123.00....or +$623 on the game, or put another way, +$23 for the whole session.
Wow...it continues...
Cheers!

Love your posts. They're so real I feel like I'm in the casino with you. I play some multi line deuces myself on occasion. In these parts they usually cut the odds down on multi line, so it's not the best choice for us. They can also wipe you out pretty quick when they turn bad. Glad to see you're playing slots along with VP. I never did before this year and I missed out on a lot of good money. This year VP has been a big loser for me. Luckily the slots have pulled me out. One thing I have learned, there can be a big difference in odds and variance between slots. Just like VP, there are good and bad games. Keep posting. I'm a big fan.

As a side note, just in the recent time of playing slots, started receiving mailers already and advanced to highest slot club card status with a lot of bells and whistles. So the plan is working, just so long as the slots are not too nasty to me.

Finally the inevitable loss...-$600.
Played a lot of different games tonight. Started off on the sun and moon slot, a game I remember playing way back in the day. Started with $500, at one point down to $250 then hit the 50 spin bonus with moons across. Max bet $2 a spin. When it was all over, let the game at $550. Pic of the hit is posted.
Then decided to play a bit of buffalo gold...went down a $100 then hit a buffalo across with 2x multiplier, cashed out of that game at $595. Then decided to take the pot shot at $1 triple play deuces. Didn’t feel comfortable with $15 spins even with all the wins I had, at one point down to $100 dollars, but scored a few hits and went up to $525 and cashed out of that.
Then went to the .25c 5 play deuces and felt more comfortable,
Even at $6.25 a spin. I did hit the deuces and at one point up a bit over $700...but it went cold. Lots of misses. Even flopped the Royal with deuce and wasn’t enough to save it. So on the game I least expected to lose on, I took the brunt of the loss on it. -$500. To add insult to injury, dropped another hundred on the quick hit game, max bet $1.50.
So a -$600 loss total.
Can’t complain, been a really nice run. Now it’s time to get into the serious mode, fun is over.
Cheers!

Cheers[/quote]Slot play is a pure pot shot. For what it's worth, my experience is to bet big ($5+) and limit the amount you put into any one slot. I walk on anything better than a few hundred dollars. If you stay on one slot for a long time, you'll just feed the machine. I haven't hit a slot hand pay yet, but I've hit numerous $700 to $1,000 jackpots this year. Good luck!

I've gotten way too comfortable when intending to stay for twenty. Resorting to One Buttock seating in the future.
