Tried to be foolish tonight and give some money back, but vp gods wouldn’t let me...
I decided to take a walk on the wilder side tonight...not with increasing the denomination, but the variance. Against my better judgement sat down to play .25c triple play 9/6 DDB. Granted not the worst game around, but knew it’s either get the big hit, or a quick busto. Well, even with a quad ace no kicker, it was a quick busto, -$520 in relatively quick order. A reminder of the dangers with DDB/TDB play, the heaven or hell games.
So tilting as I was, took another $500 and went back to the .25c five play deuces. Went well pretty much off the bat, lots of quad flops, royals with deuce, 5 oak, so forth. And throw in a quad deuce, and presto chango, won the money back plus an extra whopping $1.25...in less than 45 min. So...there it is. Finish off this session up +$1.25.
I’ll see what trouble I can get into next go around.
Cheers!

Decided to go with the .25c five play deuces tonight. It was a considerable battle. Started with a bankroll of $500 and at one point was down to the mid $100’s, but caught the deuces and hovered around 350-400 for a while...was starting to drop a bit before hitting another quad deuce and decided to call it. Up again for this one +$83.75.
Cheers

Some days your the bug, some days your the windshield. Today,
I was the bug...
This session was sort of a two parter...first $500 was a lengthy battle, about 2 hrs...but with .25c five play deuces, sooner or later, have to hit those deuces or Royal...hit neither and lost that one. I still had some time so loaded up another $500...this time was able to find two quad deuces, but it wasn’t enough. Ended up losing this one as well in about 2’hrs. So...-$1k this time around...splat!

This time we are the windshield....
Didn’t make it all back from last sessions flogging, but got back a lot.
We nail the Royal flush no deuce this time on .25c five play deuces...but didn’t really manage to hit much else unfortunately. Still,
I must be grateful as we scoop back +$674 and make the 1k loss yesterday a lot less painful.
Cheers

Premium hand wasn't enough. I simply must cap sessions at 90 minutes quarter. That should cap my loss at $90 in a worst case scenario day. Hey, something I can actually live with!

I gave a long worded post earlier. The cliff
Notes version is...
1. Risk equals reward
2. Tailor bankroll to ones own need. Keeping in mind bigger the bankroll, less reliance on luck and more dry spell survival.
3. Each spin is independent. So whether you play 5 sessions of one hour, or five hours of one session, it’s the same. 1000 hands is 1000 hands either bet one at a time or in one hour.
4. Find what works for you, every decisions will have pluses and minuses, experts can and will disagree on pretty much everything, and enjoy yourself.
Cheers.

DM, I've made the suggestion before that frequent visits be curtailed in order to grow the bankroll which could also have the same positive effect that you mention. I have a feeling that the lure of freeplay draws a person in which may account for the frequent visits.

Ultimately it doesn't matter to me at all how a person plays but when one talks about being envious of handpays they should realize that their particular style of play, coupled with the denomination they play, greatly reduces their chances of nailing a handpay.

Four ducks hit, +$227.50.
Played the .25c 5 play deuces. Kept going down to around $100-150 then hit quad ducks. Rinse and repeat about 3 times. However, the last two quad ducks were close together this time and was able to profit it up. About a 2.5 hr session.
Cheers
