What a night!!

Post by pokeherguy »

Just got home from my best video poker session ever. What started out looking to be another bad trip changed on my last $100. As always I was playing $2 DDB at max and was on my last bill for the night when I was dealt quad A's, missed the kicker. At least I can play a little more. A few hands later quad A's once againg no kicker but I'm still glad to get it. About 20 minutes later I'm dealt quad 3's w/kicker and 2 hands later get quad 2's followed by quad kings. I'm way ahead now and I'm wondering around looking for something different to play so I decide to throw a couple hundred dollars in a ten play DDB machine because I've never played one before. Since I was having a good night I decided to max my bet and on the second hand I got quad 2's (playing money). A few hands later it dealt me quad A's, holding the four A's I recieved the kicker on 4 hands. That was a pretty picture, I even allowed them to take my picture for that jackpot. Wasn't done yet though. Went over to play the 100 play DDB, once again a first for me. I could hardly believe my eyes on the second hand, a dealt royal flush. Another first for me was being paid in the VIP room. My only hope is I haven't used up all my luck in one night.

PGUY, congrats on such an awesome night out! Low rollers like me dream of hitting it big and playing big(only with means)but are often humbled when I walk empty handed or even at best. Some years are better than others. The beauty of random events!

WOW! Thanks for sharing your exciting story and serving as inspiration to the rest of us. You are keeping our dream alive. YES, we want to know the denom on 100 play, where and total for the evening. Did they take out taxes and escort you to your car?

Okay I should have known better than to leave out the denom's and the total. I can assure you I'm not a high roller. The only reason I played the last 2 machines was because I was having a good night and just happened upon a freak sequence of events. I put a couple hundred in the Ten Play DDB thinking I would lose it quick and go home. I've seen people play these types of machines but never at the highest denomination at max play. The 100 Play DDB was almost at the .25 but I changed my mind and played it at the .10 cent level and it was maxed. That was the most per push that I have ever done in my long life. The total was amount was very nice and they did walk me to my truck. It was also tee-shirt night so I got 5 shirts and two pictures to bring home. The taxes were also held out, you have to request that. I got on a roll at one particular casino a while back and got way ahead but playing as much as I do I ended up about where I always do by years end. I will not make it habit of playing either one of these types of games though I'll stick to my favorite single line DDB. I do know of a guy who hit the 100 Play DDB for a dealt royal at the .25 cent level. He is a high roller, $10K per trip. As long as I get to continue to play and enjoy myself the numbers meen very little to me. I haven't failed to finish a bit ahead for many years now but the highs and lows are crazy. I guess thats what makes it so much fun.
Before I forget west of the river, go figure.
