super aces/TDBP, any incredible stories/HITS??
i might have posted this in wrong forum, but reposting to make sure
anybody have any good stories about super aces/triple double bonus ??
For somebody who can grind it out, play for hours, super aces may be the best game second to none ..
I understand that you dont get kickers (which make the odds go up considerably anyway), and that you dont get 10/7 DBP (which keeps you alive longer, due to frequent hand hit ratio), but, either numerically or with any luck , it is simply great to get 2000 coins/credits on any four aces... especially on multi line (10play +) .
Just have killed it on this game
On TDBP, yes, indeed, a blood sucker ... And (which I frankly do not like), another kicker game with a pathetic 10coins for 3 of a kind.. However, there is nothing better than getting a few regular quads to give you a pinch of fire power, and then BOOM 2000 credits ($500 for 2,3,4 on quarters or $2000 on dollars, instead of that weak $200 or $800 on DDB), and 4000 credits on the AWK..
I have never been dealt on multi line, and only 3 times on single, but aces multi times .. My best hit on TDBP --- odd ... 3 aces dealt first ,, hit 4aces twice for $1630, no kicker ...
Only 3 hands later, dealt 4aces , 2kickers, $10k ..
Unreal, this is after hitting two royals and super aces 4 times on the same bank in less than two hours!
By the time that I went to my room at 7am (got there at 11pm), had an unreal $40k cash in my pocket .. Peppermill would not cash into a cashiers check .. Only on single wins, as I found out later ..
even dropping 12k the next day, i hit a few more royals and aces sunday, and went home + 36K
amazingly, went to an indian res in gueserville (above santa rosa,ca) ... w/1500 ,5 play, hit a royal on super aces , then hit super aces (up $6k at that point) , then switched to double double (which I almost never play) .. dealt 4 clubs to royal - another royal, super aces 3times more and dealt 4 3s on DBP .. $17k
Then went to peppermill in reno --- Incredible, - the week after I was dealt the aces w 2 kickers on TDBP $10k -- played DDBP and dealt 4aces, 5play, 3 kickers -- ... $7500 ..
I ended up an amazing $63k in one week = brst run ever for me ... a guy that usually plays 25-50cent multis.
Has anybody else had such luck, that in general plays quarters but played a pot shot and won 3 straight time???
Would love to hear!

Ken

I only know of a couple of guys with that kind of lucky streak.
1. Eduardo in Mesquite with the Kings Pattern.
2. A former gt column writer(non-paid) that talks to machines and they tell him when to bet big. Seems unfair to the rest of us that are unable to speak machine language.

Last night at Caesars IN (will be Horsehoe starting today) my wife was playing DDB and she hit 4 Aces with the kicker four different times in her first three hours of play all on the same machine. She also hit 4 4's with kicker once. My wife and I are both novices and she only plays a single quarter (1 bet). Obviously had she bet more we would have won big, but so many times we have won early, upped our bets and ended up losing. I believe logically every hand is random, but my wife has had the best luck over the last six months playing this one particular machine. Anyway, that is by far the hottest streak either of us have had in our six months of play.

I did that my first year of learning VP but was" CORRECTED" by another VP player whom I should be grateful to to always play max coins. How would the missus feel had she hit an RF on 1 coin-in? Never play beyond your means but always play max coins. When you bag the coveted RF, you'll be thankful you hit the max coins button!

Dancer had an article a fews years back that stated it is often best to bet less than max coin. The fact is you will generally lose less money on an negative payback machine by betting one rather than max. I figured this out for myself around 12-13 years ago.
Another thing to keep in mind is that you may find a single quarter game paybacks better than a 5 nickel game.
OTOH, with positive payback situations you should always bet the max.

I have downloaded VPSW and I am trying to fine tune my play. My wife listens to me on most suggestions. My parents have been playing for years and based upon my questions to them seem to play pretty good strategy, but they say they "just want to have fun" and don't want to be bothered by mathematical probabilities. They are Total Rewards Diamond card holders and I'm wondering how much "fun" versus "math" is costing them. I have at least convinced them now of the true random nature of machines. As for my wife, I believe that as long as she isn't playing proper strategy, that the less she loses the better. I have personally already experienced the RF on a single quarter bet a few weeks ago.
Last night, I was trying to get enough tier points to hit Total Rewards Platinum before an upcoming trip so I changed my strategy to playing JOB first at single $.50 (at my casino raises you from 8/5 to 9/6), then max bet $.25 and finally max bet $.50. I accumulated many more tier points than my normal single coin $.25 but it was kind of boring. And kind of infuriating when I hit 4 Aces with Kicker on JOB with 5 x $.50 and only won $62.50. I know I'm rambling and getting off topic, but I'm so into all the math and theory of all this.

Aces with a kicker on JOB will give anyone fits.

Not as bad as aces w/kicker playing deuces or OEJs. Done both many, many times. What I do is focus on the hands that pay much better than DDB, etc.

There is nothing worse than a natural Royal Flush on AC Two Pair Joker Poker since it only pays 500.
