the best run i ever had was an at indian casino in southern california. i was playing 10 play quarter triple double bonus. started with a few hundred and within an hour was up $2500. hit 4 aces w/kicker ($1,000), 4 2,3,4 w/ kicker ($500) and a few other things. the other good run would be $10,000 on a separate trip in september when dealt a royal flush on all hands. same casino, one machine over. however, that pales in comparision to your story above. i also don't live close enough to any casino to be a regular more than a few times a year so a short run for me would have to be in a few hours at the indian casinos or possibly over a few days on a vegas trip.

but that pales in comparison to your story....
congrats and don't give it all back!

Hi all, new to forum.
Wow kmarsullo32 thats a heck of a run. Congrats!

My most memorable hit was not my biggest or longest, but it was one of the best.

I just wanted to play so bad and had only a few dollars. (approx 10 yrs ago) I played a penny 5 play poker machine all night long, max bet 10Cents, of course even when I would get a four of a kind I would only get something like $2.50 if I remember right. Anyway, everything I had was in hock. 13 hours later still playing 10cents at max, finally I was down to my last dollar and accidently hit max bed, immed I was so mad cause there went my last buck, I'll be a son of a gun if it didn't deal me 4 Aces with the kicker. It paid $900. Could not believe it. I got paid off and ran right out the door.

Great topic!

Very Well Played Cashout!  My son made a mistake like that playing a penny slot and ended up hitting a $1,000 plus and he cashed out and said, "I am done!"

cashout, Welcome to forum! You may be new but some of us could do well to learn from you and "run right out the door" after we hit! I'll try to focus on your words right after I win at MGM Detroit tomorrow! Wilcoxfun: It's about time you showed up again, we missed you!

Thank you marie meijer, first off and foremost I wish you the best of luck tomorrow at MGM Detroit, Whoo Hoo!! I hope you win big time!!

I wish I could say I always run right out the door, but I love to play so much , honestly alot of times I put it right back. Thus the name "Cashout" hoping it will be a constant reminder when Im "out and about" to cashout and go home.

Again Good Luck to you.

awesome to hear good stories! Appreciate the replies ..

I must admit that I have not come even close to a run like the one that I had before, but also that sufficient bankroll is needed in most cases to come even close.

We all have had that quick hit, and luck the whole session, weekend, etc, but bankroll has been key for me. I play potshots like anybody else, but try to have enough to break the $ into sessions, whether I play pennies or $5 tokens.

key is , when going up reasonably (yes, a bit undefined but to each their own, within reason), I either persist to win, or lose no more than 30% of what the peak is of the session.

I also see many people that say that they have never hit a royal, only a few royals, etc, or that machines are "Rigged", etc.

I would say to keep your head up . The reality is that a royal only comes up 1/42k hands approx, aces w/kicker once in 24k approx, but this is over time. Even regular aces, I believe, are one in a very large #, regardless of the fact that we hit them in streaks

Case in point, another LUCK story (LOL!) ..

I recently had the longest royal cold streak that I have ever had (9 months) ... My friend told me that my luck had hit the "wall".

I told him that the reality was that the odds would even out, and sooner than later, the likelihood was that I would not hit a royal, but a handful

Sure enough. within one week, Royal in reno on 5-play nickels ($200), back home 2 royals in less than one hour on super aces quarters (with 4aces twice in between) $3k, another royal on single line the next day, and two more royals yet again the end of the week sunday (On the first triple play machine that I hit twice before. **5** royals in a 7-day period - twice within 30min-1hour each session!)

That is the second time that I have hit 5+ royals in one week . I have also hit three on one machine, two in 20 mins, 4 total in one 8 hour session, 3 in one hour on separate machines, etc.  I have Also seen other players do this type of thing

I must admit that , though I do study Bob Dancers programs, I am VERY lucky. I do not play to optimum capacity, yet my w-2 and players card summaries at end of year almost always show profit.

Any other great stories in regard to cold streaks on royals/aces with HUGE combacks in hot streaks??

Enjoyed reading of your report.

The most recent for me started Jan 2, 2009. I've posted 7 pics of my wins on VPFree. I would have posted more, but I didn't want people to think I was bragging.  The shocker for me was a $11k Royal on a $1 progressive.  To date I'm still working on my original stake of $3k. in 12 outings.

Last year while driving to Calif. for a casino sponsored cruise, we made a planed 30 minute potty stop at Aqua Caliante. While my wife utilized the facilities in the High Limit Area I put a C-note in a $5 BP machine and held 3 to the Royal.  On the draw up jumped the rest of the family to complete a Royal in Hearts. As U S Customs requires you declare $10k or more in cash or negotiable instruments (ie., check) I was pressed to find a BofA before our trip.

My greatest win was in Vegas, 2 hours = $50k.  A $5 Royal at Harrahs on BP.  Then an hour later at Palace Station, $5 Aces w/kicker on TBP, and then Threes w/kicker on TBP.  It took 11/2 hours to get paid at Palace Station.
