My vegas November trip
Hi All
Well just got back last night from 11 days in Vegas. It was a fantastic trip and profitable. I put aside money each day as I always do. Wife included. First couple of days went fine and won here and there but couldn't get quite ahead. Then came Wednesday of the first week. I was at the Palms by myself and Hit my first 4 of a kind with a kicker for 200. The next nite Wife went back to timeshare early and I wanted to play a little more so I went to Gold Coast and There hit a Progressive Royal Flush for 1100.
Ok course the next day hit a couple more 3, and 4s four of a kind with no kicker but 100. each. About 4 or five of them. Saturday did the same and kept even for the day. Sunday was a better day. Hit 4 aces with kicker for 500 and four 4s with kicker for 200. and a couple of other 4 of a kind. Then came Monday. I decided to switch to slot for awhile just for fun. I was playing flaming 7s when all of a sudden 5 flaming 7s in a row and 1000 dollars. This was at the MGM. Went up to Harrahs and decided to play 3 card poker as another switch. Down to about last 30 dollars and started to play blind and started to hit. I figured a couple more hands and back to timeshare being ahead for the day. Well I put 5 on ante, pair plus 10 and six card 10. I was dealt an Ace of Spade, King of Hearts and some red 10. Put 5 on ante. Dealer turns over her three cards A J and Q of hearts. I thought OH NO I lost. Then I thought the king of hearts and some red ten. Could it be a heart for the Royal. Well As it was I was the last to turn over the cards and I said I may have a Royal Flush but not sure. My heart was pounding. The dealer was scared as well and asked the pit boss to turn over my cards. There was the King and then the 10 of Hearts. THe ROYAL FLUSH FOR 10000. DOLLARS. I could have fainted. (almost did). I went right back to timeshare and quit for the night. Nothing to exciting after that.
I took pictures of some of the winnings but don't know how to load them. Maybe later after Webman lets me know.
Well good luck to all next week and sorry I couldn't be there this year.
Enjoy

Way to have a winning vacation, Papag! What a fun trip report. I often see others hitting on those flaming sevens. One gal lost $1200 playing that machine in MI and her husband could not believe it! So he started playing her machine and won back her losses and then some in a short period of time.

I'm confused how do you win 200 for 4oak and 500 for AWAK? Were you playing 1 or 2 credits? And you won $10,000 on a $5 bet playing 3 card?
Either-way thumbs up. Its always nice to see somebody get some of the money back.
PS. Did you get a tax forum for the 3-card hit? Do they automatically force out taxes? I noticed last time I was in NV I didn't have to pay any state tax (don't live in NV) like in years past and then file for a refund.

Hi /spxchrome
Well the 200 was like 2, 3, 4 with a kicker.
the 10,000 on 3 card poker was $10.00 bet on what they call 6 card bonus. This is where you take your 3 cards and the dealers 3 cards and make the best 5 card hand from both. The payout for this bet was 1000 to 1 on a royal flush.
Yes I got a tax form and they took out 25% right then and there with the chips.

Congratulation, At Harrah`s here in Atlantic City they started the 6-card /3 card poker this summer.
Did you get the Tax form when you cashed in the chips or at the table?

Hi Jim
Right there at the table. They first put out the 10000 in chips and then they took away 2500 of the chips to the IRS.
Thanks again Jim

Good Golly Miss Molly!!! They take the taxes out at the table? At the Native American Casinos, they give you your winnings, but a big fat tax form with it.
I wonder which is better? I guess either way you get your winning up-front, or in a refund check months later.
Congrats Mr Garippa
