Anniversary Trip
Sweet C and I celebrated our anniversary at our favorite casino. She continued her incredible streak of hitting the Progressive AWAK 3X over two days for 16 times this year so far. Included our best shots although she forgot the take the last AWAK today holding two aces. She sure wanted to hit the Prog RF over $1,200 but the three AWAKs made up for the miss.
Last night was a fun night. I met a mom and daughter who played next to me and hit Super Aces 25¢ 7X while I played beside them. Also met a gentleman who hit his first RF after years of playing holding a K-10 combo. He was so excited the four of us and others around whooping and hollering for him. We convinced him he had to take a picture of this historic first RF. Later mom and daughter caught a RF holding a J. I sure wanted to make it 3 machines in a row.
#1 AWAK

My lucky hits to keep me up for the trip. Only trip this year I haven't hit 4 2's on DW.

A great anniversary trip. But wait, LL - didn't try for that fourth deuce on your 3rd pic?

No, It was a bird in hand and I was down for the night. My guide recommends going for the deuces but.....
I had missed the fourth deuce three times before on dealt 3 deuces-one a straight flush and it was playing really bad.

marie,
I loved your Border Crossing story. Thank gosh we don't have the same problem going from Tx to La and back.
Our previous three land crossings of the US/Canada border have been painless although Canadian customs has been very thorough. Our first driving trip into Canada took us 10 minutes and I was ready to prove what type of underwear I had to convince the guard it was a vacation trip. Rental card agreement, itinerary, reservation confirmations and all didn't seem to convince him we were tourist. Of course being from Texas....

TY LL, Approx 96% of our border crossings have been smooth sailing. Only once was there a slight problem going INTO Canada and I can blame myself for inadvertently causing that one! I understand those guards are there for our own good as are the airport security guards. Most of the guards we have seen are pleasant, courteous and helpful! There is a potential element for risk in their work from every car!

I understand, LL. Sometimes, a riskier play just doesn't feel right, in spite of the "correct" strategy for that situation. Kudos to you for not blindly following the "experts". Are you listening, Frank K ?

Are you listening, Frank K ?[/QUOTE]LL and Billyjoe, LL did in fact make the correct max EV play when he decided to keep the dealt wild royal rather than just keeping 3 deuces. And, it's not really even a close decision. You may be confusing this play with the recommendation on full pay deuces when one is supposed to toss a pair of 3s thru 9s, foregoing Five of a kind for the chance at 4 deuces. That one is a close play and the bird in hand is quite close in EV to the riskier draw. But even that is not a recommendation on NSUD since the 5oak payoff is increased to 16 per coin .
