Biloxi Black and Blues

Post by BillyJoe »

Well, I just returned from my Biloxi trip. This was primarily a golf event trip, with a little gaming, of course. I was so happy to finally be feeling well, and could not wait to get out and play some golf. The weather was gorgeous. But of course, I cannot take a casino trip lately without something happening. This occured my first night at The Beau.

Yes, that is a broken toe. A 3 AM trip to the bathroom, and on my return to my bed, smacked my right foot full force on the leg of the chair. The resulting screaming and cursing awoke most of my hotel floor. The photo from my cell phone camera does not do the colors justice. But I came to play golf, so the next morning I taped it up, and out I went for the first day, with my golf bag full of pain-killers and the drink cart girl providing the needed bourbon. Needless to say, I was a non-factor in the golf event, including the second day. By then, the toe took on a rainbow of colors, from purple to green to orange.

As with my last Vegas trip, though, this turned out to be a positive gaming trip. No huge wins, but many quads , and a few premium hands  with dealt quads that I have pictured.

Leaving for Tunica this Thursday for another golf event. Not sure what color my toe will be by then, but I will certainly bring plenty of tape.

Congrats on your wins. S S about your toe. Been there. Ran into an open door edge at full speed when in college and had handicap permit to drive on campus. One does not forget a purple toe!  Finding a tolerable pair of shoes is not easy! There are way too many nerve endings in extremities! There are worse things out there waiting to get us!

Congrats again!  Great hits.Like Marie, I broke a toe the very morning I had to sign up for classes in college.  This was in the day when you had to walk around campus to various stations, stand in line and hope you get the classes you want.  As the campus was located on a hill, I was walking up and down stairs just to register.  What a bummer that was!Hope you had fun playing golf even with the broken toe.  Good luck in Tunica.

S S I am laughing at all four of us and our sore toe predicaments! Keeping an injury elevated is supposed to help cut down on the swelling when possible. Ibuprofen is supposed to help with the swelling, too. My accident was in a Michigan winter and the threat of frost bite loomed and subsequent fear of amputation! When I had a broken knee cap, I had to wait a week for the swelling to go down to get a cast put on it. That was from colliding with cement stairs, at full speed and also produced a broken finger. There was no give in those stairs! Life is beautiful, today! There is hope for billyjoe!

Nice wins !  As for the toe.. well.  I think all of us have had that happen in our lives and... as much as I hate to think this..  it's going to happen some more.   I'm 45 so I think I have about 5-10 more heavy duty toe stubs coming my way in my life.   the question is when?!?!?   I am suddenly aware of impending doom.   this is worse than the mayan calendar !

Oh Billy........................ That looks really sore, I've been there also, I dropped my husbands skill saw on my foot and broke and smashed the you know what out of my toe............... and it was winter and we had steps outside and a new baby to carry, thought at the time I wouldn't live throught that 42 years later I still remember the pain But great hits at the casino, that should take away some of the ouch.
