First Royals

Post by jetermacaw »

Gave up trying to post pics, so I'll tell the story. I was at Harrah's AC this week for a quick 1 nite trip. Went to my new favorite machine muti-play QQs. I play 5 hand DB for 5c. Dealt QQ on first hand [Sorry Mr. DaBurglar I was thinking of u]. proceeded  to get many QQ, from traditional holds to going off the reservation and holding 2,8,10 unsuited etc. Was up $300 and switched over to dimes alla Florida Phil., well that didn't last long, lost $150, punched out the ticket for the other $150. Switched back to nickels and put $40 back in. hit a couple more QQ. Dealt 4 to the royal held my breath and bam the jack of spades filled the royal on the bottom line. Looked up and the top right line and another jack of spades. My first RF and I get 2. Ordered and drink, punched out the ticket and went to the 3 9/6 machines. Played single line quarters, hit a couple 4oak, punched out for another $200 and went up to my room a happy fella.

Jetermacaw, I had the same thing happen on 10 play last week. Hit the royal at the bottom and then when the message flashed "Jackpot" it had twice as much as I was expecting. It took me a minute to figure it out --- there was another royal up at the very top right of the screen. I was cool about it but the lady on the next machine looked at my screen and was whooping and hollering like a drunken indian. Getting two for the price of one is a very nice surprise.

So, Rascal what did I do to deserve such an unprovoked attack?

Well, if those are suited, that can be the correct play. But I don't think that play has ever gave me a Quick Quad though. Maybe next week when I play 9/6 DDB at Ellis Island in Vegas. :) I would also take 2 out of 3 Royals, nice hits!!

My first Royal was also on a Quick Quad machine, but it was a penny 100 play, and I only hit 1 of my ~10 hands for $40. Still looking for a nickel or quarter Royal...lol

Wow rascal that is real class.

Yeah, I agree. I'm not even sure what a drunk Native American is supposed to sound like.

Thanks Vman, with 5 low cards unsuited its something I've been trying, does it hit alot , no, but I like trying. It beats a re-deal and getting a pr. of jacks. I'd say 3 hits last week on that strategy, but no count on how many i tried.

You can also generate Quick Quads strategies here for a given paytable if you haven't already:

I am native american. I have a Right to be proud of my heritage, and I am. I have asked the member's on this site on numerous occasion's to show the courtesy to call my race Native american's That being said, when I see comment's like greedy indian casino's and drunken indian's I see red, some might say I overreact. Not this time as an ambassador of my culture and my heritage. I am going to calmly request that, you all try in the future, to call my race Native american. Thank you.
