Just a thought

Post by ravenbynight111 »

I have been gaming 3 times  in the 20 months or so, it has been almost a year since i was playing.so saturday i drove over to lake charles from san antonio. I got in about noon at the isle.So i get started second hand i hit four 9s and that is all she wrote. the placed was packed, but i noticed the video machines were empty.well now I know why the machines were just bad. I talked to a few folks and they said it is tough to win there. There are no way these machines are close to the payouts they should be paying. After 3 hours there i drove over to lac and played a couple hours there, I sat next to very nice women and she played the same game i did and funny thing when she sat down she put 700 in the machine and i asked why,and the reply she feels good when she has a lot of credits. Well in the next 90 minutes i hit two 4 of a kinds both 250 credits was the payouts. She had hit 4of kind once, but she also hit 18 fullhouse in that same time frame. I on they other hand did not hit a single boat in 2hrs of play.I can tell you this these casinos do what ever they what. They are predators, what ever they what to do they do.Please do not tell me about the gaming boards they are just as guilty. The great days of video poker are over. With the select few that get some strong information, basically being inside she is over.

I once went to a grocery store and when I got home I found I was shorted a nickel in change. I tell you, they are all dishonest and out to get us. I'm living proof. Oh, if you don't believe me, my father-in-law admitted it happened to him once too.

BTW, the last time I was in a casino I hit quad aces and came home up a grand. That's conclusive evidence that anyone who goes to a casino will win big money.

Shadow can you please let us know where that grocery store is so that I don't get shorted too? Thanks in advance.

If you think that vp is as good as 10 years ago, i have so beachfront property for sale in Nv,My point is i think the casinos do not play by the rules and you think they do.Just a varied view. I live in texas and know hundreds of people who quit going to vegas on a regular basis.Well the big question is why.Number one reason they never win and the time and effort and money to get there.Do you know what the avg tourist gample in a weekend vegas. Well its on a sign at the vegas airport. The gamblers are not going there as they once did.Now they still have tons of vistiors, but, there to party and see shows and dine. You have over 282000 members on this site and i wonder how many make a living playing VP.Look at the return pcts on video poker what are they based on.It is not a true pcts it is fantasy.I buy ahouse for 50,000 all in, sell for 55000 a year later what is my pct of proit. You put 200 in a vp machine play for two hours about 400 hands per hour and lose the 200. what is the pct of reutrn and what is the basis of the pct shadowman

I never go to a casino EXPECTING to win. There are no games in a casino where the player has the advantage (an odds bet on the pass line in craps is the closest, where you are paid according to the true odds on that bet). I do win, however, by using money management, and playing a variety of games. Of course, not every gaming trip is a winner.

In VP, however, I do play high volatility games (like TDB) quite a bit, so the wins, when they occur, need to be savored.

I also play tdb, my point ot the whole post is that i think the casino industry is so corrupt, and it like you said you cant win all the time. The avg player is looking for fair shake and in my view those days are gone

That is why you need to exploit the comps that you receive.

If I win a decent payout in my session, I leave. Chances are low you will hit anything else and just end up blowing what you just won.
