Lucky martingale clone bailout
I got so fed up today and last night at Mohegan Sun playing 9/6 JOB that I switched to 15/9/4/4 deuces wild on a different no points machine. JOB had been running between 10 and 25 hands without even 2 pair which is way out of the norm. Only 1 quad in 4 hours too. So, starting out 5 bills down already, I played my own version (martingale clone) going up and down on my bet accordingly. Things were going much better than on JOB, but my bet was getting too high and eventually I was at 20 quarters which is way over where I like to play. After 6 straight losing hands at this level, I would have packed it in for the trip and gone home a 7 bill net loser. Anyway, got lucky and on the first hand with 20 quarters bet, I held a single deuce and pulled the other 3. That paid a grand, so the trip ended well, but it sure was a close call.

Waiting for a response as we speak Sam. Good luck and see you probably some time soon in October at Foxwoods. Thanks for the well wishes. That fox hole was pretty deep and had clay near the bottom as well!!!

According to an article by John Robinson from July 2013, Mohegan Sun has negotiated a compact with the State of Ct. for its share of revenue from class 111 machines. Unless I find out differently, I am going to assume that both Mohegan and Foxwoods are using class 111 machines. I had received which I hope is mis information earlier today from a slot manager at Mohegan who stated by way of another employee to me that Mohegan uses class 11 machines. I have never seen the little bingo card symbol in the upper left of the machine which would indicate it is class 11, but will certainly check on my next visit again. Hopefully, someone else will have a definitive answer here and I certainly hope we are playing on class 111 machines which use a RNG.

...9/6 JOB...had been running between 10 and 25 hands without even 2 pair which is way out of the norm. Only 1 quad in 4 hours too.
Had to run some numbers there; using the Wizard of Odds return tables at http://wizardofodds.com/games/video-pok ... or-better/, you could expect no hand better than 2P out of 10 about once every 3.2 trials and out of 25 a little less than once in 19 trials. 1 4K or better in 4 hours is much less likely, depending on how many hands you play in an hour; like one in 161,000 trials at 10 hands per minute.
So, fairly negative variance for that session; but not enough for me to give up around a full percent in EV...
Glad it worked out for you tho.

Paid a visit to the gaming commission today. They stated that all vp machines at Mohegan are class 3. I would think the same for Foxwoods. Hopefully, this is correct information. Nothing special happened playing last night and this morning. Minor losses and no big hands or streaks either way. Guy next to me hit 4 Aces with a 2 though playing DDB and max bet of 25 quarters. He was smart. Only gave back 40- and went home. I think he had played about 5 or 6 bills prior to the hit.

olds442jetaway, Well I would guess what the gaming commission says is probally right(correct) on. Question? I never check with gaming commission are they part of the casino or are they part of the state? part two did you tell them about what happen to you? or you just letting it lie/go?(slang resting position(lie)Good you almost broke even, I am happy if I can do that. (lol) sometimes just cant stop playing, I think that's why casino(Foxwoods)($$$)likes me.(lol)Will start another post about winner at VP and he got mad,(he went on and on and on,) could not believe it.This was within the last year. Thought I was strange(lol) some people,(lol)Good luck.Olds442jetaway I thought about this when you told me the hand DDB (AAA2) guy next to you won with. Sam

According to the Mohegan Sun website, the gaming commission is a tribal department, but they do interact with the Ct Department of Special Revenue. They have their own office within the casino where the monitors are etc. As to the other question, you know the old saying " Let sleeping dogs lie." The last thing I want is to get unpaid for that Royal, in case there was a malfunction prior to that hand being dealt. In hindsight, maybe the machine door was slightly open for a couple of seconds. I have seen that many times, but it usually freezes everything up. And you will usually see the word closure on the screen to. I see no bingo logo on the screens either, so I think we are OK with the class 3 machine questions. Looking forward to a couple of Foxwoods trips later this month and next. Take care.
