Have you ever done this?
I think I have finally cured myself from this bonehead way of thinking on vp. Sometimes after a good run, you look at your credit total and it is say $199.75. You say good. I only need a quarter to even it off and then I will cash out. You move your bet all the way back to 1 quarter and start playing. Two hours later, you now have $ 52.50 left or worse. Then you start increasing your bet to play catch up and get wiped out. This happened to me the other day except after 2 hours of torture, I was lucky enough to get that last quarter. However, I missed dinner with friends, got less sleep than I needed, etc.,etc.,etc......I think I am cured now, but time will tell....

If I'm up a significant amount or I hit a sizeable jackpot, I'll cash out and pocket the ticket, insert another bill and play on til I exhaust my play amount for the day. I don't set a stop/loss limit per se but I will quit if I don't hit anything significant. Better to pocket the rest and play the next day.

Thats why I use the Martingale clone. My most common pattern is to wait for 4 consecutive losses before my bet increases just 1 unit. The tradidional Martingale (doubling) would wipe you out in no time.

Hi Sam and for those who are interested in the Mohegan Sun latest. I did get upgraded to a level 3 after going pretty high up the chain. The new system is extremely complicated. They are still struggling with software glitches. For me, comp rooms are gone. However, they give me 800 of what is called choice credits every month. These are use or lose. You can only use them for rooms, lounge access which is now pay as you go, or the buffet. Room rates range for me from 100 to 700 depending on the night. I used to like to stay up there 7-10 nights a month. Now I will burn through these new choice credits in 3 or 4 nights leaving nothing for the lounge etc. I can't believe they are charging 10-15 per guest and per trip to the lounge. The food there is usually crappy anyway. Could have been worse I guess. If I hadn't been upgraded,I would only have received 200 of these choice credits per month. I will definitely be spending some time at Foxwoods. I just have to take a long tour of the entire place looking for the best games and paytables etc. Good luck and health to all

Olds,
I've done the same thing. I now try to put an extra $5-10 or $20 in. Seems to be cheaper in the long run.

olds442jetaway, I understand everything you wrote, they bump you up level, so you wont be losing as much in points had they not done that, but still don't get enough to stay as long as you have before, and up points needed to go to lounge with crappy food,(lol) Okay where is my headache medicine.(lol) I would guess you have been looking at Foxwoods, The two place I play are MGM which I play single line, they have whole bunch of 3,5,10 and all kinds of other VP, not sure exactly what? go down escalator(coming from Foxwoods casino) take left and go around first right corner(20 feet) and all right in that area. Great Cedar casino is the other one and think all VP in same area in there. Keep in mind all figures in this post are Approx. and not exact. (lol) Sam
