Experimenting with Double Pay
After seeing some recent comments about playing Double Pay, I thought I'd give it a shot. At a max bet of 250 quarters ($62.50) a pop though, I was only going to experiment with it for a short time. Luckily I hit this in about 5 minutes and then pocketed the cash and the accompanying W2G. Exciting game but I could see it getting real expensive, real fast.

I would say the experiment was a success. You should be hooked now..

Nice hit on Double Pay mugrat. I played this game for a short time back in 2002 right after it came out and Lady Luck smiled on me and I caught a dealt royal. Seeing:
ROYAL FLUSH
60,000 CREDITS
in the middle of the screen nearly floored me. I called a slot attendant over and I told her that I didn't know what to do and I was afraid I would touch the wrong button and it would be gone. She told me that she hadn't seen one yet and it was only the 3rd one that was hit so she called a slots manager over and he told me to play the hand out and I would get the credits at the end of the hand. I asked if I could look at it for a second before I played it out and he said I could go ahead and look at it for as long as I wanted. This has been my biggest single hit to date.

mugrat, Nice hit!!! Question? I don't play this game, on the screen you have up there shows you 20,000 in credits, 4000 credits for each winning hand($5000) is there another chart(on machine) that add in the extra $2500.I see that you won 30000 credits. Again good hit! Sam

Sam - Great question. There are indeed two paytables in this game -- one for the deal and one for the draw. Here it is so you can see where the extra 10K credits ($2500) came from. I was playing max credits (250), so to understand the standard paytable just divide everything by 5.

Sam mugrat was dealt 333A and the game also pays on winning hands that are dealt to you and in this case mugrat also won 10,000 credits on the deal.
Edited to add that it looks like mugrat and I posted at the exact same time.

billyjoe - I would agree with you that it certainly is enticing. However, playing this game for any significant amount of time will definitely require bringing a much bigger bankroll -mugrat

Tedlark - Thanks -- Seeing those 60K credits must have been quite a rush. If I ever catch a dealt royal on this game, it would be 300K credits. - mugrat
