Neglected cash out voucher hope
We had a good four day trip UPNORTH, winning at Turtle Creek near Traverse City and losing less at Little River (Manistee) MI. After arriving home, I discovered SOMEONE had put a $62.50 cash out voucher in my purse. It's good for 45 days and we have no plans to return there by that expiration date. A call to Little River Casino Resort provided me with an address and "attention audit" for mailing in the wayward voucher. Lorraine kindly said this happens all the time and I should receive a check in about four weeks, without any name calling or laughter. My first thought was to place an ad on eBay or craigslist and offer my voucher at half price. Someone had mentioned on chat that they found a buyer on eBay for $50 for their $100 TITO from a distant casino. I prefer my second thought.May this serve as a reminder to cash in those vouchers and realize there is hope if one goes home with you!

Maybe a $62.50 donation to a nice charity this holiday season Marie?

What a sterling idea, Ted, is that what you would do with it? I call it a bankroll for my free night mailed offer at Greektown following an annual holiday dinner dance at Motor City.

Generally speaking casinos also honor expired tickets. But if a cashier says "No.", you might have to go over his or her head. I like my home state's law of Missouri. TITOs are not allowed to expire, period.

Yes marie that's what I'd do with it. Something regarding karma and not truly knowing the source of the money would make me feel good about dropping the money into one of those little red kettles. If someone truly lost it I would put the money somewhere that it could help someone else, pay it forward.

I empty it out before every casino trip, which is too often! I had dashed off to meet my husband for dinner and apparently just forgot about it. I really am usually better about keeping track of $. I usually cash out TITOs ASAP so they do not get lost in the chaos. That one was a sneaky little devil.

That voucher was from my wins the day before and helped offset too many losses that day! I had just forgotten about it and it showed up when I returned home. No one else is going to get near enough to my purse to put anything in it or vice versa.
