Feb 2014 Vegas Trip
Back from my Vegas trip last week. The combination of Valentine's Day last Friday, and President's Day on Monday, in addition to Chinese New Year, made for a busy weekend in Vegas.
My trip got off to a shaky start, with my planned flight connection to Vegas last Wednesday in Atlanta being cancelled due to their ice storm. I re-booked to a flight from Tampa to Minneapolis, then connecting to Vegas, making for a longer day and later arrival.
The weather was beautiful, playing golf on Thursday and Friday in mid-70 degree weather. Cascata and Shadow Creek are always terrific golf experiences. I also had a chance to meet Vman96 at Mirage, there with his girlfriend. I wore my VP.Com hat so he could locate me. (you need to slide the pic to the right to see my friend VMan)
----
----
Bellagio did its usual wonderful decorations in their atrium for the season, this one for the Chinese Year of the Horse.
---
---
While in Vegas, I saw The Eagles in concert. Great show, with the group playing 3 HOURS ! They were not allowing any pics, but I snuck this one in without the flash.
---
---
The gaming results were mixed for me this trip. I won money at each table play session that I did, but in spite of some good handpays, lost overall at VP and slot play. Here are some highlights...
Playing on Mirage FreePlay..
---
---
A Caesars Five Star DoublePay, on a redeal even..
---
---
Another Caesars Five Star hit..
---
---
And this one, close to a $64K payoff, missing the dealt RF by one card on the Caesars Five Star DoublePay, but at least drawing the correct card for the RF..
---
---
Played at Bellagio, both DreamCard and Good Times Pay multi-line games...
---
---
---
---
---
---
Next trip will be in March to The Beau Rivage in Biloxi for their St Paddys Golf Event, which is always fun...

Until I scrolled over the page to see me, I thought you cut me out of the picture and stole my g/f! It was good meeting you and glad to see you got some good hits after I left your presence. I was pretty bad luck at the time I think. At least our good chat helped slow down your play. If we ever make it out to Biloxi, we'll let ya know! And at least it looks like Caesars didn't take away your Double Pay Poker!
I am tempted to write up something myself, but it will be likely a lot more wordy and non-gambling like. Need to get some pictures from my g/f too. My biggest hit of the trip I forgot my phone in the room for the day, and I had to take it on hers! D'Oh!!

Always enjoy your "show and tells", BJ.
I'm sure you had some great dinners, too. Bet the concert was awesome . Welcome back and better vp luck on your next trip.

St. Paddy's ? Geez billyjoe first you offend the Native Americans and now you offend the Irish?
Kidding, kidding. I'm glad you had a nice trip. You didn't have a chance to get that $50.00 that Don Henley owes me from that bet he made when the Eagles lost to the Bears, did you? Get it? Don Henley betting on the Eagles?

Enjoyed meeting you also, VMan, along with your g/f. The Wheel Poker at Mirage did not pay me very well.

Yes, I ate at two of my favorite restaurants: Prime in Bellagio and Homestead in Caesars. What can you say - The Eagles are about the best live performance group that I have seen.
