It's Vegas Baby!!

Post by FloridaPhil »

We are in the middle of a five day Vegas Trip.  We're staying at the Red Rock and we both think it's the best run casino we have ever seen.   I've never seen so many video poker machines in my life and the odds are unbelievably good.  They have teams of slot techs and the machines never have sticky buttons or bad screens.  If you hit the service button someone is there within 2 minutes.  They'll even bring you a players card.   The food is wonderful, the service is great and the rooms are quiet and comfortable.  How you could do any better is beyond me?We also made a trip to South Point.  It's feels older but it's every bit as good.  We're heading back there tomorrow.   You guys in Vegas are so spoiled.   Video Poker outside of here isn't worth the effort compared to this place. We both played even until this morning when I hit a royal about 6 AM.  I'll post the photo when we get back, if we ever leave....   If you like video poker and live outside of Nevada you owe it to yourself to check this place out.   You'll throw rocks at your home casino.

I would like to echo your sentiments.Your sentiments... sentiments... sentiments... sentiments...It's a fine place, and the bowling alley puts anything in my area to shame as well.  Plenty of good machines there and always a nice experience.

Did you attend Mr. Dancer's class today?

Aside from that, I am glad you finally listened to the advice of your forum peers about these places.

We've been telling you about this for the last couple of years. I am glad you are really enjoying your time there.

I was at the class. It was on Quick Quads, Bonus Poker.
Pretty educational.Mr Dancer made a point of saying you shouldn't play any pay table under 98. He said you can win in the short run but in the long run you have no realistic chance of winning.
They were filming for a movie in the Italian restaurant next to the lounge the class was held in. Very hush hush as far as what movie or who was in it.

Right on bill. I come to expect nothing less than a great lesson from Mr. Dancer, a man who takes his craft very seriously without BS. One can hope that they are filming another Godfather movie that is not situated in New York.

One more thing Phil, after the end of tomorrow's visit, SouthPoint is one of the rare places you can exchange the points you've accrued for cash! At a rate of 0.30%! If you have a decent knowledge of mathematics, you will notice you are getting back your theoretical losses if you were playing DW there.

Phil, I want to thank you, seriously THANK YOU, for this excellent post.    I OBVIOUSLY do not always agree with the content of your posts, but I respect your efforts and the thought you put into each entry.......This latest post is one of your best ever!   Succinct and to the point, and also very useful.....you singlehandedly  convinced me to visit RED RICK on my next visit to Vegas, for real!

Do you know what kind of play game and amount is required a comped stay there?

WTG." Keep on dancin"....The Gentrys about 1966.

For 2016, "Can't stop the feeling" by Justin Timberlake closely resembles that.

And under the lights when everything goes
Nowhere to hide when I'm getting you close
When we move, well, you already know
So just imagine, just imagine, just imagine
Nothing I can see but you when you dance, dance, dance
Feeling good, good, creeping up on you
So just dance, dance, dance, come on
All those things I shouldn't do
But you dance, dance, dance
And ain't nobody leaving soon, so keep dancing
