I hit 2 quads for 1200 dollars in 6 hrs and still lost apx 400. Its getting old . no pun intended lol.

Exactly what I have maintained. You must hit one quad/hour on the vanilla games just to finish around even. Your high variance games will be even worse. If you've only hit one quad in two hours, take a break or quit for the day. It's clearly not your day.

Pickem quad cycle is 2361, so much less frequent than a typical 5 card draw game.

Technically the variance is a low 15, but it probably feels worse than that because the drain between quads is around 6%.

Very good Dinghy. they have full pay pickek at m. sun for dollars and up ,so 5 bucks a tug. As Bob dancer pointed out in his pickem book , on a bad week u can win or lose 6000 dollars. I have been on both ends of that equation ! doesent feel like low variance to me or my friends !!

FAA as Ding pointed out quads at p[ckem 2361 to 1. at job 423 to 1. but pays 600 to 1 at pickem. 125 to 1 at job. playing apx. 800 hands per hr at pickem u avg one quad every 3hrs apx. u could hit 3 or more in that time frame or no quads for many many hours. pickem revolves alot around the quads !!

Quads at Pick Em 2361 to 1, JOB 423 to 1. but pays 600 to 5 at pickem. 125 to 5 at JOB. Playing 800 hands per hour you avg one quad every 3 hours. You could hit 3 or more in that time frame or no quads for many many hours. PE revolves around the quads!

I play at a much slower rate. I would average one smashed machine per trip. Too much aggravation and volatility for me. Assuming BP circa 423:1, I like to chase a premium 200 or 400 to 5 payout.

A few years back I was up 12k for a month at full pay pickem 5 bucks a tug. A month later was down apx 10k. So a 22k neg swing !! playing over 40 hrs a week. Seat belts required along with large bankroll !!
