Re: The Path III
Fine Friday. I won my $25 Caesars table FP on a self rolled seven. I won $27 on my $25 quarter JOB FP. Off to Resorts. I burned through $75 on a machine before moving and a $75 quad. Sports book phone charging. I returned to the machine, hoping to squeeze a few more bucks from it. It granted me a max quad threes. Three’s my kind of crowd. I left town happy for a break even May, offsetting two loser sessions. Net Day: +$201.

What is the Payback % on that game FAA. Where I live BP doesn't have that schedule, I don't think.
But I have been wrong before. Not my game so just curious

Mohegan Sun removed it about 10 years ago. I used to play it. Now they have the inferior one that pays 30 for one for any quad.

There is also a better (and rarer?) version that pays 35 for one for any quad, that has a game return of 99.66%.olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 8:16 amMohegan Sun removed it about 10 years ago. I used to play it. Now they have the inferior one that pays 30 for one for any quad.

I tried it before but my guess is the variance would be higher than JOB. It ate me alive.

According to the Wizard of Odds, the variance of that version of "bonus poker" is 20.7, as compared to 19.5 for 9/6 JOB. That's a wee bit higher, but not even close to that of some of the crazier games.
I put bonus poker in quotation marks because, to me, the game is not bonus poker at all - it is simply 8/5 JOB with an enhanced quad payout. Nevertheless, it has a higher return than normal (8/5) bonus poker, and is definitely an OK game.

I miss the 99 percent version at Mohegan Sun. Why they pulled it many years ago yet left 9/6 JOB intact is beyond me. Often times I think these decision makers are simply bean counters and do not consider all of the other surrounding factors that affect how much activity a particular machine gets. In the case of Mohegan Sun, they had the Bonus machines in a dark cold non smoking area before it was converted to a live poker room. They could have easily put them somewhere else and they would have had plenty of action. The cold draft where they had them was so bad, you needed a jacket in the summer.

AC had no AC, the opposite problem. Caesars old configuration had VP area in the back, which was a sweat box. Thankfully, they set up a carousel layout and improved circulation. Harrah’s high limit Cove continues to be a confined overheated blemish there.
