She nailed them again Sunday night. One of them was holding the kicker as well. Heee heee. Three different machines.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, a few days ago the Mrs did it again holding the kicker in the horrendous 7/5 DDB pay table. I continue to get killed on 99 percent machines. Somehow for all of 2021, she has managed to stay a bit ahead of them and has no hand pays.
This just reinforces the power of luck and short term results which IMO can be longer than a lifetime. Being Irish with a leprechaun on her shoulder doesn’t hurt either.
About 45 years ago her mom had to have a back operation. Her family had no medical insurance other than her dad’s VA insurance for himself. The hospital bill was over 3,000 dollars, a good sum back then. One of their family dogs was named Missy. The local dog track was only a ten minute ride from their home. Her dad looked at the paper and saw that a long shot dog was running called Missy Won’t Miss. He rushed up to the track and placed a small trifecta bet on Missy. He got there just in time. Missy won and the ticket paid almost the exact amount of the hospital bill. Her dad of course was Irish. The small remainder went into the poor box at their local church. The town and most of the people in it were poor and it was in a depressed rural area of Eastern Ct.
