Winning Wednesday. Good omen: I found a $1 TITO in a VP slot. I started with my own $40 and won $5 on about 90 hands. Brushed bust twice but escaped and hit adjacent machine. I won $37 from $25 Caesars dollar JOB FP and kept going. Soon I had two Jacks, but four to a Straight Flush. I went for broke and got 9h. $100 SF! Great to revisit my old friend SF. I wish it was $250, but I was caught in a two coin hand. I won $25 table FP on a seven craps hit. I walked to Resorts and back for exercise. Net Day: +$141. I recouped last week's loss. Grand Marnier on the house.
HL room man hit two adjacent VP hand pays of $1,750 and $1,245. He humbly told guard, "I'm chipping away." Also in HL, a woman went from $110 to $735 on BP. No wonder people love mid week trips. They open the flood gates! My policy is quit on SF/RF. May need to revise this.

Even better. No angst breaking up a winner and you won the fulI $250, which buys at least fifty more hands. I knew the party would soon end and left. As in life, don't be the last one to leave the party. I would have been crying with a meager $500 RF. SF I can rationalize.

Tap out Thursday. I won $25 on Caesars dollar JOB FP. I gave it back plus. I won craps FP on eleven hit. I lost that at Bally's. Ballys is now unplayable. When I max bet on quarter JOB, the pay table abruptly switched to a confusing degree. They reset them to ten coin bets! So you're basically forced to play fifty cent. No thanks. I prefer Caesars quarters with arm room. Net Day: -$139. 22 Caesars TC, 3 Bally's TC. All utterly useless. Everything was cold.

Satisfaction Saturday. I won $33 from dollar JOB FP. So much for austerity. I quickly went to $72 I won $25 table FP by rolling a seven craps when a lady passed her turn to me. Merci. I won $13 at 4 PM after striking out all day with the Caesars promo. Diamonds and Sevens cleaned up as I went 0-28. Still pleased. Net Day: +$90. I recouped 64% of Thursday debacle. Take it and run.

Shamed Sunday. I won $35 on Q/D JOB FP. I won $25 table FP on eleven craps. I gave it all back on dollars. I saw so many hand pays in HL room that I craved one myself. You know the rest. Long story short: I will take 60% of today's funds on future trips. Net Day: -$97. Hopefully a strict budget will finally put me out of my misery once and for all.

New Year starts off right. Let's clean that slate, ladies and gents. I won $55 from $25 Caesars JOB dollar FP. Hell, I started on quarters, but I caught an ice box. Crap after $10 FP and I bailed on the whole bank. Progressive $1,120. Just can't take the grind. Lost craps FP on ten to seven. My fault. I stood like a statue as prior player shot two winners before crapping out. I stomped back to VP and won $10. Rode to Harrah's for HH lunch. I never cashed out. Stuck with ticket money, I couldn't play!! Just as well, though. My nemesis and bad luck charm was one of the five losers on the shuttle, so I likely would have busted. He's like a black cat who breaks a mirror while walking under a ladder. Back at Caesars, more dollar play to chase quad, etc. I got killed before switching to DW and almost fully recouped. Thanks, Olds. Ten TCs. Net Day: +$40. Day was one large shrug.

FAA am I mistaken in thinking that you stated, several times, that you were done with paying dollar denomination?

Correct. Good intentions, but I admit to bailing on the denomination. I was bombing and disgusted from the outset. Swinging for the fences on the way out. After a labored trip in brutal conditions, I felt compelled to justify the immense stress with an attempt at $125-$4,000 hands. The thread Olds started emboldened me. I figured I could switch games and emerge unscathed, which indeed occurred. You may not get rich, but you can flip the switch. Straight quarter is the sanest route. But I appreciate this new, nuanced wrinkle. Sometimes you just need a tweak. Living dangerously down the shore. Aviation aficionados hate being grounded.

Those in aviation who have their wings clipped learn to travel by different methods or not travel at all.

It seems to me that you have champagne dreams on a ripple budget and this, more than common sense, guides your play. You speak of seeing other players hit monster jackpots and you've said of being jealous of them. You need to stop paying attention to what, or how, other people are playing and concentrate more on how you can become a better player. I have made the suggestion to you that you should save up and make fewer trips to the casino with a bigger bankroll. In rare times will a player hit something right off the bat in a session that will sustain them or even give them reason to leave the casino at that point. I'm not saying that a player with a bankroll of a couple hundred bucks or less cannot make a decent session but when you have a bankroll this small; playing dollars simply hurts you more than helps you.

I wish you much luck in 2018 and I hope you get a royal or two.
