Re: One Coin Quarters
The best sound system I have run into is at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi. I get there early in the morning when I'm by myself and its paradise.
Phil, you need to hang out at The Beau on Friday and Saturday evenings by the bar, and listen to the guy that plays live. He sets up right by the VP area, so it is great to play and listen to him. He is really good.
Personally, I've gone of 30000 hands without hitting quad ducks.
I would change games, regardless of the pay table.
I have trouble doing something 3 times without success without making a change. I can't imagine 30k.
No different that playing a bonus game with a bad streak in quads. I once played about 10 hours (over 4 days) in one casino without hitting a quad. I imagine you've experienced a few bad streaks as well.

Wow! Ten hours without a quad is horrible. I think my record is 6 hours or about 3600 hands. The probability of 6,000 hands without a quad must be way up there. I know this isn't exactly correct math wise, but in the long run you will hit 100 quads for every Royal. If only 1 quad hit in 6,000 hands I think you would hit 15 quads normally in 6,000 hands. So if I am even close to being correct, 40,000 hands x 15 would mean only getting that 1 quad in 10 hours is like not getting a Royal for 600,000 hands. My lifetime worst is about 220,000 hands without a Royal and that is with several million hands played. Maybe someone will post the exact odds of not hitting a quad in 6,000 hands.

Anything will and does happen. Someone on this forum said the odds of getting a quad in 1000 coins is about 80%. That leaves the other 20% or 1/5 of the time. Personally, I average a little over one quad per hour playing DDB, but I play about 800 hands an hour. I once went three days in Biloxi without a single quad. That's a lot of bad hands. I also once got 4 royals in one day at the same casino.

If person plays enough they will all kinds of strange things. I once got 11 quads in 10 minutes .... playing deuces wild (natural quads).

Wow, that's a lot of quads. The most quad deuces I ever had was three sets in about 15 minutes. I sure would like to see that many quad aces in a row. My luck I would be playing Deuces.

Phil, none of those quads were deuces. However, I did hit them a little while later.
My best stretch of hitting 4 deuces was 10 times over 12 hours of play.

Good thing I decided to play 1 coin quarters today. I had a short time frame and only played a little over 2 hours on 17/7 Joker Kings. I would say about 1250 hands and the biggest hit was 1 quad with a joker. That one was dealt. Too bad the 5th 5 didn't come in.

Great job. Think how much you might have lost if you had played max coins for the same period of time... When I was playing max coins, I was very depressed about 9 times out of 10 and happy as heck one time. These days, if I walk out of the casino only down $100, I can't wipe the smile off my face.
