Just before we went home. Got lucky with 200 borrowed from the mrs. got me mostly even. That will teach me though. She charged me 20 percent an hour interest. 😕 she said thats what the Leprechaun charged her.

Guess she thinks i’m still in her first grade class. On my case about spelling and punctuation errors in my posts.

Just back from an overnite at Foxwoods for a change. Against my better judgment, I played double super times pay quarters with a bad pay table. Happened to get lucky and got a royal on the top line. This time it went home with me. Slowly learning my lesson.

Nice hits Olds, don't let the pay tables stop you from playing a few hands here and there. Just don't want to play them for hours/days, one never knows where the royals night come in!

Nice hit.

Was it really Double Super Times Pay? I ask since you were only playing 6 coins per hand instead of 7. If it was double, you may want to consider sometimes playing the extra 3 coins. Even with bad pay tables, the house edge on these last 3 coins will be lower than all the other coins played and may even flip to a small player advantage.

There's a 93.3% chance that you saved 3 quarters by not playing 7 per hand. There's a 6.7% chance that you would have gotten a draw multiplier from 2 to 10, averaging 4.01 (if it were Double instead of regular Super Times Pay). Of course, you saved 3 quarters on most of the other hands played as well.

Yes it was double but i was only playing single. 6 coins. Quite steep at that. 18 quarters a shot. Mohegan sun is continuing its assault on vp players by pulling vp and replacing it with penny machines. More and more poor paytables are showing up there too. One bit of good news. They are going to have their lock in contest for 4 days late in december just before Christmas. To maintain my Soar status, I will have to run through about 50000 bucks. With any luck at all, i will lose about 1000 bucks or 2 percent, but that will give me 24/7 rooms, food, gifts i don't need and some extra free play as well as tickets to many of the shows for another 6 months. Unless I get really smoked, thats a bargain.

Wildman......do you or anyone remember The Blues Project and their hit song, No Time Like the Right Time. I still have the album.

I remember a lot of songs from that era, but I must admit to not remembering that particular one. I was a top 40 listener at the time. It's amusing that the YouTube video of that song is just watching a turntable play a 45 rpm record (I know people call them vinyls now, but that is not what how they were referred to then).

Also, I know this is the Recreational portion of the forum, but there is a point to consider that requires a couple numbers that might be beneficial. If you have a choice to play the same game on a regular Super Times Pay machine (for 6 coins per hand) or play on a Double Super Times Pay machine at 6 coins per hand, you should choose the regular Super Times Pay Machine, because its average multiplier is greater unless there is some other non-monetary reason to do so.

I can't see the whole pay schedule from your picture, but I'm guessing that this is the Colorado Deuces 25-16-13-4-3-2-2-1 schedule.

The breakdown of EVs for that game on a regular Super Times Pay machine is:

96.77% for the first five coins,
98.38% for the sixth coin, for an overall EV of 97.03%

For a Double Super Times Pay machine, the breakdown is:

96.77% for the first five coins,
97.09% for the sixth coin,
99.88% for the 7th coin, for an overall EV of 97.26%. If you are going to play DSTP at 6-coins, the EV is 96.82%.

I get the idea that you might not want to invest the 7th coin, even if it has a better value than the first 6. But if that is what you are going to do, the regular Super Times Pay game is the better 6-coin play. I know that this is only a fraction of a percent, but at $50,000 coin in, that will save you more than a benjamin.

Now if despite what's above, you still like DSTP better (or maybe STP is not available for the same game), if you do play the 7th coin once in a while, you might hit the one in 9 million shot at 20x Royal Flushes on all 3 lines!! I know you are not a stranger to long odds. ;)
