Re: A Trip to Bizarro World!
Back to bizarro world tonight with the Mrs. for an overnight. Against my better judgment I decided to budget a single $100 bill against a game I enjoy the most but it’s only 97% and change double down stud deuces wild. I was playing the usual Martingale Clone with quarters and fortunate to get dealt a wild royal flush with 7/4 bet. Of course I doubled it before I saw the last card knowing worst case scenario I would get my money back. I will post how the rest of the night goes as it goes

I was able to get some amazing hits even though no Royal came in. My big mistake was not cashing out when way ahead waiting for the Royal. Ended up just a couple of hundred. The Mrs did good as well. I fought a 4 per cent EV deficit all the way. Never would have stayed up for so long without playing the clone. Pics attached. Partway through the night I was dealt a straight flush on all nine lines, but had to toss it in hopes of getting quad deuces. That particular time it did not connect, but it was worth the shot as I was only giving up 10 for one on each of the don’t Straight flush hands. It still hurt to do it but you have to try when you have 3 dealt deuces.

Just a side note. No need to cringe at the bet 4 per line on one of the pics. This is an 800 for bet 1 for the Royal. Ok to cringe anyway because it is a 20/10 instead of 20/13 paytable.
. For some reason the casino destroyed my similar favorite machine ( dollars ) when it opened after Covid. They changed it from 800 for bet one dollar to bet 15 for the correct payout. The machine just sits there now. Nobody plays it. I’m still working on trying to get it set back. I probably used to run 200,000 a year through that dollar machine alone and they made a nice profit on it.

All those hands and lines make my head spin. I can barely handle single game play. I really want to get that hand pay off my list this year.

Thanks will try. There a are a few tricks to keep under control. Slow but sure to the upside is still up. Ice cold begs for higher bets to make up lost ground. Ok to a point, but don’t put the bankroll at risk. If you have a decent profit, consider packing it in or at least play small just for fun. I have busted many bankrolls by not heeding these messages. There’s no such thing as “ its gotta turn around “ At least not in a single session.

Your overnight marathons usually do hit pay dirt until the four hour mark. You can teach a Patience master class. It really is all about starting slow. Machines take forever to pay when you’re the only one in the section. That’s how it is for me. It is preferable to have plenty of company for a big win. If that’s just not possible, they will surely soak you assuming imminent surrender. (Putin ‘Em Away Strategy)

Last month I walked through a small casino in Henderson. Off the main entrance path, they had set up a smaller room as the non-smoking section. Maybe 20 machines total, and I was the only one there.
I literally did not win a hand.
