My bad. It's 5%, not 2. I guess it is rigged, lol.

Do that stuff when I can. Their free play is usually only 20 bucks a session. On triple status point days, a normal session will usually yield 100 in free play. That’s about it for cash compensation up there.

That was last year. This year getting completely smoked. In the big picture though, these 2023 results would still be considered short term. I have even posted myself over the years. Long term results could be longer than one’s lifetime. This year is just extremely frustrating. I hope things will turn around. I practice with Wolf VP at home and manage to stay about even. Good memory about last year results. I thing it was -28,000/based on approximate coin in
IMHO, Wolf VP is the best software out there. Unfortunately my hard drive crashed and I don't know where to re-purchase the software olds442jetaway. Do you know of a vendor where I could re-purchase the software since Jim Wolf no longer supports this product ? More likely you've done a better job at preserving your hard drive than I did, but I thought I'd ask.

Sorry Asteroid, I am pretty much of a Dino with this stuff. It was free when I got it years ago on my old Laptop that barely works anymore. There must be a way out there to get it. Try searching Frugal Video poker too

No worries M8, thanks. I have Frugal Video Poker and it is solid - Wolf Video Poker is its successor as you know.

The Mrs and I are planning an overnight at Bizarro World tomorrow night. I have another insane for now theory that may not be so insane by year end and may mean the RNG isn’t so random. . For 2023, the Mrs. and I have been taking our our free play this way…..and when she is not there, I play hers for her…I get 20 bucks a session and she gets 10. I play 80 hands short coining 9/6 job and 40 hands for her the same way. The winnings become tip and gas money. All of the bets are at bet 1. We have played 40 sessions each so far for 2023 and both player’s cards are ahead. My theory that may prove or disprove itself by year end is the casino lets you win more at bet 1 hoping you will move your bets up to a higher level. These of course are short term results so far and unfortunately one of the sessions on the Mrs card landed a short coin Royal at bet a quarter. 😬 My overall results for 2023 are so dismal that I find it odd that I would be ahead on the free play. Note that at Mohegan, you can only cash out your free play after you bet it. Any winnings along the way, you are able to cash out. Our gambling money comes from the same joint account not that that matters. Also at Mohegan, they don’t seem to care who has their card in when it comes time to get paid for a hand pay. The W-2G gets issued to whoever hit deal when the winning hand came in. Speaking of which, I am so glad the State and Fed taxes are done. More hours than I can count this year spent on them trying to get them 100 percent accurate with all of the new Bizarro Fed and State changes and idiosyncrasies. AP…..we will look for you in the usual spots in case you will be up there.

When I compared you to FL Phil, I didn't mean you should literally copy him. :P

Now that I've admitted the machines are rigged, I have to ask: Have you tried this already, and did it work the last time?

It feels like something you would have tested already, because you're a pioneer at variable bet sizing.

Wow!! Mohegan started this in August 2011, but only on all of their 99 percent machines and some of the 98 percent machines. You still earn tier points. The other lower Vp machines still pay points you can spend, but you have to cycle about 500 bucks through to earn a dollar you can spend. This seems to be the way of the world now in VP.

As to the bet one question, I have suspected for years that the casino pays more when you are at a bet one level, but I never kept tract of it until recently on the All star machine that pays 800 for bet one on the Royal. For obvious reasons, I try to rarely short coin a machine. What I may do if I have the time or ambition is play an hour at a bet one level on an 800 for one machine. Then take a percentage of remaining bankroll. Next go to bet 2 for the next hour and take the same calculation based on starting vs. remaining coin in. Then bet3, 4,etc. These results will be short term so mean almost nothing, but if they repeat over and over, that may be a different story.
