Re: My JoB journey
Today I started at 9:15am, walked out with $300 in my pocket (I carry $300 bank roll started beginning o the week), which is a win because yesterday I lost close to $50. Then... I walked back to the casino because I thought I still have 2 hours to kill since the handyman's appointment is at 2pm. Then things started to turn bad. I lost my first $100 in less than an hour, put in another hundred. The second hundred was down to $10.. decided to throw it away and leave when it's down to 0... then I hit a straights, full houses and one 4 of a kind, I was up again at $50. Cashed it and ran. Down $150 today. Whenever I can't discipline myself that day, I ended up losing. Walked out at 1:45pm... Had my fun.. Like Phil said, I got to focus on the long run. Will be back on Monday next week.

Other folks who have created vp playing strategies would likely disagree with that statement.FloridaPhil wrote: ↑Fri Feb 22, 2019 12:26 pmHow can you have any discussion of VP strategy without mentioning him? He is the creator of the only VP strategy that has produced verifiable results.

Sarah, this forum can be fun. It can also be a drag at times. I can tell you enjoy your days at the casino. I do too. We would love to hear how you do. Keep posting.
I posted my results for two years on this forum myself. I posted $17,000 worth of jackpot photos playing single coin quarters 95% of the time. I was lucky and I said so. Players who think they have it all figured out called me names. They said it couldn't be done. They said I was taking photos of other people's jackpots. Even when I explained in detail how I did it, they called me a liar. They refused to believe that there was any other way to win than by the math. They are wrong. You can get lucky and stay lucky for a long time. It won't last forever and it certainly isn't a viable retirement plan.
Don't let anyone discourage you from doing what you believe is right for you. They're not playing with your money, you are. Listen to the experts, but don't think you have to play like one to enjoy the game. Good Luck!

Nobody else seems to have that problem. You are the one who keeps bringing him up. Why don't you take a break from posting for a while and see how often the discussion evolves around Dancer?FloridaPhil wrote: ↑Fri Feb 22, 2019 12:26 pmHow can you have any discussion of VP strategy without mentioning him?
You complain often about how repetitive the discussions here can be. I suspect the forum would become a lot more like you want it to be if you stopped posting.

What do you have against Bob Dancer? I have given his software more plugs than anyone else on this forum. I have even posted links to his website on this forum. Whenever anyone in a casino asks me for advice, I write down his website address and hand it to them. I never say he is anything but an expert.
It is not necessary to believe Advantage Play strategy is perfect to benefit from it. I believe in luck, you may not. I know video poker is gambling. I know I can win as well as lose on any machine at any time. I play according to the software I purchased from Mr. Dancer's website. It lets me play a game I enjoy for less money than a lot of other entertainment options. We stay in beautiful hotel resorts for nothing. We eat and drink for free. Sometimes a casino flies my wife and I around on a charter jet. All this for playing quarter VP? Yes.
Stop trying to make me out as an enemy of Bob Dancer. It took me 10 years to discover he is right. The only thing we may disagree on is the "guarantee". I asked him about that once on this forum and here's what he said. "Nothing is guaranteed. You don't know if you will be here tomorrow. " No truer words have ever been written.

I don't have a problem with Bob Dancer, just like I don't have a problem with you betting however you want to.
What I have a problem with is your constant misinterpretations of these things while acting like the forum Dalai Lama. In the 10 years it took you to discover he was right, you've given a lot of bad advice around here. You argued against people who already understood correctly and were trying to help you. In other words, if people followed your advice for 10 years, they would have been worse off.
You may have come around on the strategy front, but you continue to spread misinformation. You may have "plugged" Dancer a lot like you say, but you also say things like he is encouraging people to bet more than they can afford and play $5 video poker (not true!)
You said you were going to stop "teaching" people and talk about your trips instead. I wish you would. You actually have a lot to contribute there.

Phil, I may be a bit slow on the uptake but what is this "guarantee" that you speak of which is a source of disagreement? Where was this "guarantee" printed, posted, published, or stated and who was the author?

This post is a perfect example of Phil's misinformation. Phil you need to further explain the $17,000.00 worth of jackpots which you said were won when playing single coin quarters 95% of the time. Would you mind explaining to any new people here how much of this $17,000.00 came from $5.00 single coin play or came from max coin play (your self-titled "potshots") that was mixed in with your single coin play?FloridaPhil wrote: ↑Fri Feb 22, 2019 2:26 pmSarah, this forum can be fun. You are giving the impression that the $17,000.00 (or the lion's share of it) came mostly while playing single coin quarters and this in itself would be exactly the type of misinformation that you say "The Expert" presents.

I don't wish to mess up Sarah's JOB thread with my discussions. I think this is a great question that needs to be answered. I am not teaching or conducting classes on this forum. All I do is tell what happens when I play and respond to member comments. Some members don't like my posts just like I don't like to hear what some other members post in response. That's the way a forum works.Tedlark wrote: ↑Fri Feb 22, 2019 6:44 pmThis post is a perfect example of Phil's misinformation. When I don't post, the forum goes dead for days at a time. All we hear about is someone's great day or a new royal. My posts are controversial on purpose. I want players to think about what they are doing and why. Not do it because a hero in a book plays that way. The hero's way may be right for them. It may not be the best for you.
Sarah's posts have been a breath of fresh air. At least we have something new to discuss. I'll start a new post to discuss Ted's question. Let's leave Sarah out of it unless she wants to be involved.

Phil, so you are saying that the forum goes dead for days at a time when you don't post? So what? You have other issues if you have the internal need to post here just because you are concerned about the amount of traffic on this forum.
