I prefer lobster. If not for you, a break even trip, which is a highly infuriating hamster wheel routine. Breaking even always feels like a pathetic ham fisted celebration.

This thread keeps reminding me of Frank Kneelands chapter “faces in the clouds.†Basically talking about human beings need to make things familiar, categorize, make sense, and predict even random or chaotic things. My point is, if I scratch my head after hitting a quad, and hit another quad for back to back...that doesn’t mean scratching my head after the next quad or next 50 quads is going to have the same result. It might, but odds are against it.
I guess my point is, I think it’s a mistake to try to make sense out of a random number generator which is chaotic and...random.
However, if it puts one in a positive frame of mind, help psychologically, makes one feel better, etc. Then go for it.

No one can predict what the RNG is going to do on the next hand or the next million hands. Obviously, if the odds and comps are in your favor you have the best chance of a positive result. This does not mean you are assured of winning if you play positive games or can't win playing negative games. Vider poker is gambling. As long as everyone understands that, no harm done. I have yet to see any VP strategy with a money back guarantee.

A lot of outdated information has stubbornly prevailed as gospel in the VP diaspora. That leaves most players wandering in the desert.

a question for wildman.in your original post [SOME VERY PRETTY AND LUCKY HITS BY THE WAY, CONGRATS] you mentioned my old favorite, the hit-and-run, as a regular part of your play.my host at the eagle told me that short sessions are not good for my rating due to some averaging system.my question is,do you know anything about this? my response to him was,in effect, you can take away anything you want but you can't change the way i play.the casino is not my friend.the players objective is exactly the opposite from theirs.he seemed a bit perturbed so i repeated my old lesson from long ago that the casino wanted me to hold still while they grind away at my wallet.so hit-and-run made sense back then and still does today.
by the way have you felt the hosts to be as accessible in the new VIP room? maybe it,s just me. i am not a very social animal. my wife makes up for my shortcomings in that area.if you have any info. about the rating thing i would like to hear from you. just got back from a two-dayer hit a..50 cent royal and managed to walk with the 2k intact plus 600. just bullets to fight the battle no more no less.

Well I think you asked about this months back. I have no clue about what they might rate. I mean for what your free play amount? Rooms? Tickets to shows? Food vouchers?I'm 99% sure everything is by your 3 month point average. It's just a guess on my part. I can tell you this from what I have done the past year since I became Diamond. I average 125k coin in per month. I have tried things like mixing a little slots in one month to playing at a higher denomination. Nothing changes my free play. Many times per month I go in and play off free play, no coin in at all, I see no change in free play, as of May it's $125 per week and 3 extra pay days for a total of $875 plus $120 in gas cards. Gas here is $2.99 a gallon. The host people are all great, I have no problem with any of them. I have never been turned down for anything I have asked for. From event tickets, food vouchers for the steak house, and rooms including suites, I asked they don't even hesitate. All form playing Video Poker $5 a hand! Plus I'm in the black for the year!I am staying there 2 nights the end of May while my wife is in Arizona, maybe we can meet up and chat a bit?

Very informative post wildman thanks. I have been diamond for over three years my play has averaged at least double the required 480k per six months. My comps are exactly the same as yours and i also have never been turned down for anything. My free play/bonus has varied from the current as a low to as much as $300. According to George there is a formula but he did not know the details. Looks like i get no extra premium or penalty for short sessions.I guess i could back off a touch if i wanted to. You have been VERY helpful i think i owe you a beer or three, would like to chat. I usually use two free nights a week and right now i have may 30-31 Possible?
