The strategy is very easy to learn , near 100% pay back with accurate play. short term flux is high even though the variance is low. pickem is all about the quads !!

Once in 2361 apx. at pickem returning 5% of the total pay , so without your share of quads u will be going down most of the time !

Yes. Very similar to Deuces wild without wild Royals or quad deuces, or Joker Kings without Quads and straight flushes. Almost always the curve is down.

If you accept that the machine deals cards fairly, the curve shouldn't be down very much. If you never hit a royal or straight flush, you're still slightly above 99%. Every other outcome on the pay table is common enough to occur typically at least once per session.

Btw, there's an interesting thread in progress at VMB. In the trip reports section, "maxev" stayed and played at Mohegan Sun Virgin Las Vegas (formerly Hard Rock), earning one or more unspecified gifts to be picked up this weekend. He got hold of an internal document containing player selection criteria and other details associated with the promo. I'll try to post an update after he does.

So close. Revised estimate 98.99%. I misjudged a decimal position.

MS Virgin gift details now posted at the other forum. Olds, this won't surprise you -- after playing he checked with the booth for his point total and thought he had earned top tier gifts, but later discovered the promo required a different kind of points which earn more slowly. Very confusing slot club.

He estimates the top tier gift package value at $40+100+400=540, with a coin-in requirement of $30k. But he played a mix of slots and vp (7/5 Bonus), and I'm not clear whether everything earned at the same rate.

Sorry? Beg to differ on the total returns. On Joker Kings, The Royal and straight flush absence costs nearly 6% of total return in the long run on a 98.44 Game, I will lose about 7 1/2% of total coin in. That is huge. On a fairly usual session for me, that amounts to just under 400 bucks assuming $5000 going in and that is worth perfectly as well. On some of my sessions going in is 10,000 bucks or more so it is easy 1000 bucks on a day like that. You can check the math on the Wizard of Oz he tables. He lists the total returns there. On airport juices with a 98.91 return using both the royal in the straight flushes costs Not exact on a similar amount

On 99.54 JOB, the hit without a Royal or quads is over 8 percent. That is why I lose the most on that game on a bad day. It is actually quite common for me to go on entire session without any quads on JOB. It shouldn’t be, but it is in my case
I don’t remember all of the details, but I remember some years ago Bob dancer told us in the forum here that on a really bad day on jacks or better he lost or could lose up to 25% of coin in. I’m Pretty sure that’s the number he mentioned

Sorry, I thought we were talking about Pickem. My bad. I know you know the numbers on the other games, but wasn't sure about your Pickem familiarity.

Gosh, that's a big loss. Not sure I've ever lost 25% on a multi-hour session.
