Re: Bizarro World 2023
I plan on it. One downside unless it has changed in the last 5 years. No quarter 99.54 machines. Starts at dollars. One upside. They pay points you can spend on 99.54 Vp unlike Mohegan. I would need a 5k bankroll to play correctly instead of 1200. Dare I risk short coining?? Not on Job. But I might on Joker Kings 98.44. The other possibility would be to speed up the clone progression on an 8/5 JoB quarter machine. Probably a bad idea. I will have to take a full survey of the available machines first.
One other downside not related to play. In that 20 minute fairly rural stretch from Mohegan to Foxwoods, I lost my wife’s car to a deer strike in 2016. I missed getting killed by a falling tree by 10 seconds shortly after a storm. I also narrowly missed several deadly head on collisions on the stretch of route 2 between the casinos. The late night drunks predominate that stretch every night. That is when I do much of my traveling and I used to often shuttle back and forth between casinos at all hours. The Mrs is adamant I don’t risk it. She just says cut my trips to Mohegan to slow the blood letting. Of course things could turn around in a split second. That has happened before, but both of my 600,000 hands without a Royal over the years also happened at Mohegan. One more thing. Virtually all of the regular Vp players I know have abandoned ship at Mohegan. The slot attendants are constantly quietly complaining about the lack of hand pays which of course means few or no tips which they rely on.

Yes, I saw that. But the last gaming update on vpfree2 was nearly 5 years ago apparently, so conditions are somewhat of a mystery by now.olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Thu May 04, 2023 6:59 pmOne downside unless it has changed in the last 5 years. No quarter 99.54 machines. Starts at dollars.
That's a legit concern.The Mrs is adamant I don’t risk it.
I'm a day owl. Maybe you'll have a daytime opportunity to go over for a look.

I gather you must pass Mohegan when traveling from your home to Foxwoods. No alternative route?olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Thu May 04, 2023 6:59 pmIn that 20 minute fairly rural stretch from Mohegan to Foxwoods, I lost my wife’s car to a deer strike in 2016. No way to avoid Route 2. Unfortunately Foxwoods is not right off a major highway. There are about 5 alternate routes I could take. All are somewhat rural the last ten miles or so. All of them are always in the news with major late night accidents. Even the highway I395 to Mohegan the last 15 miles or so after I95 has many late night accidents. Also this year, Ct has a huge problem with wrong way drivers resulting in many fatalities. I attribute that to the legalization of rec pot combined with alcohol. Overall, the people on the roads are just insane. Even on local roads. I’m no slow poke either, but these drivers are just pure nut jobs. There is one particular stretch of about 7 miles from when I first get on I95 to just on the other side of New Haven. Mostly younger minorities racing and cutting in and out. Accidents every day there too. It is confined to the immediate area just before and just after New Haven. Unfortunately, most of our cities in this Country have degenerated so badly with lack of crime enforcement, prosecutions, and no bail that you wouldn’t want to drive or walk around in any of them. You can tune into or read the news on any given day for Hartford, New Haven, Bridgeport, or Waterbury and you will see what I mean.

I've considered moving to a red state, but I have a low tolerance for country music.
I concede that Foxwoods was a stupid idea. I didn't think it all the way through. We're agreed then that you should play online.

Anybody have any history of online play?
It has always seemed to me to be a very slippery slope.
Especially for those of us, including myself, where discipline is a constant work in progress.

olds, one of the reasons i stopped going to atlantic city was that i no longer felt safe driving down there.people blowing me off the road doing 90+mph, no thanks.my life means more to me than sitting a video poker machine for 5 hours or more; even the "free" room is not worth it.

One must go right past m.sun to get to foxwood. full pay pickem 99.9531% , basic break even game with a decent slot club mileage / achievment awards.ect,ect. as Bob dancer stated , in ref to f pay pickem in one of his books, with any kind of players club the player has the advantage. and as stated no f pay job for quaters . Common sense question, why pass bizzar by to go to foxwoods ?? and 15min more driving. Thats just me I guess.

My assumption was that foxwoods is unknown because the vpfree2 data is stale. Have you scouted foxwoods?advantage playe wrote: ↑Fri May 05, 2023 10:10 amCommon sense question, why pass bizzar by to go to foxwoods ?? and 15min more driving. Thats just me I guess.
