Good news, Quad Father. You can still stay connected by commenting on my weekly travails! I provide plenty of grist for the mill. Did I hit a premium quad? Did I bust? Did I kill myself walking the boardwalk?

The dud cycles are longer at the casino and the winning cycles are shorter and compressed. End result percentage wise about the same. What this does though for many is bust bankroll before a winning cycle. I have talked to other players with the same experience. WHY?? is the big question. Running out of BR or time to play in these long dud cycles guarantees a losing session. Last week playing JOB. Has anyone ever gone 53 straight 9/6 JOB hands without 2 pair or better? I did!!!

It's gotten to the point where you must move after a half hour of losses or it probably mean another half hour of losses before the quad, which will not even mean a net win, thus the losing session. Very frustrating. I simply cannot abide any session beyond an hour in the summer. I will basically flush a Jersey shore trip down the toilet and hate myself for losing hundreds of dollars in the bargain.

I should have heeded my own warning when I started this thread. Both the wife and I lost last night on our overnight trip. My batting slump continues. Equal or worse than the average MLB pitcher. I hit this last night early on and was pretty close to even then, but the clone failed me which it does sometimes and I busted when the bets got over 10 bucks a hand on 9/6 JOB dollars. It went quadless and few full houses. You can’t survive when that happens. Of course no Royal.

Sorry to hear, QF. You just about squandered my RF proceeds!I'd be so upset about having to go $10 that I'd move. Sounds like it was cold for 4-6 hours and not even your BR could outlast that cycle.

Nope. Have to rethink and ramp down the clone. No bet increase until first 100 is gone. Then only go from 5 to 6 quarters. Lose another 100, 7 quarters……etc. and back down accordingly. I am thinking of trying it on DDB. The small quads if hit may keep me going. Without quads, nothing will. Except a Royal of course. I don’t have 8/5 bonus poker at Mohegan anymore or I would try that instead. I hate getting paid one for one for 2 pair. It just steepens the downward spiral while you wait.

I'm getting used to it myself. That's my Borgata BPD reality. I hope to avoid the game entirely, of course. But if JOB is jobbing me, I will grudgingly go from the frying pan into the fire for that quad.

When gambling, no one is forcing you to go from the frying pan into the fire but you.

I equate it to walking on hot coals. I actually tried that once in my early 20s. Thought there was nothing hot under the campfire ashes. Too many beers. At least I never tried lying down on a bed of nails……YET!!!

BPD is tolerable for a half hour max. That’s enough adventure for me.
