Re: A couple of good ones!
Ted on this Double down stud game your only option is to draw the fifth card or double your bet before you see the last card. This game is getting very hard to find and there are only a few of them left in the casino. They are very very old machines 20 or 30 years old I don’t believe they are being put in any more by the casinos anywhere

W-2Gs are coming fast and furious. Better than being wiped out.

Looks like I will be itemizing again next year and pay the huge penalty for the lost standard deduction again, but yes better than getting wiped out for now.

Thanks. Hit one more 5 of a kind for 300 before the same machine took it back. Packed it in. They must want their money back as they gave the Mrs. and I the Executive suite on the top floor. Signing off for tonight knowing this will never happen again.

I have been wondering how the country is going to pay back all of the trillion dollar stimulus packages. Now I know. Olds's income tax he will be paying on all these hand pays he has been getting lately. Thanks olds. Now I feel better about our country's future. Just be careful. You are going to bankrupt the casino and have to find a new place to play.

Heeeeeeee. You are right about the income tax. The State will take 7 percent of every W2G I get. There is no writeoff ability. By the end of the year, just like every year, I will still have a loss. I can offset my gross winnings with losses by itemizing my deductions. But doing so will cost ne about 4,000 bucks more in Fed tax. That is because I can’t take advantage of the big standard deduction. The 10,000 cap on State and local tax deductions will finish me off when itemizing. Just my real estate and car taxes will put me close to the cap. I won’t be able to writeoff all of the huge state income tax I will be paying, because it will exceed the cap. Unfortunately, the law was never changed to allow you deduct your gambling losses without itemizing your deductions. Gross gambling income must be included in AGI. It should be just like how you write off your stock gains and losses so only the net gain is included in AGI. The boost in AGI also causes my Medicare part B costs to double too. I guess the exonomy will be just fine then based on all of the extra tax and fees of all types I will be paying!!!! Hey, if I can stay healthy and help the country out even if is to pay for wasteful government spending so be it. Health is number one!
