Ok yes, I see that now. The Spanish Flu over that roughly 2 gear period may have killed up to 100 million. Still, and I know it is very early, but the death rate from this strain of Corona is between 3 and 4 percent. The regular flu hovers in the .1 percebt to .7 percent area. This one is in its infancy. Time will tell. Hope and pray for the best

Personally, I have been going to Borgata in AC and not worrying about it. If you are healthy, I do not see an issue for you, although I guess you still could be a carrier. Some of us probably get exposed to it and never get it or get a very mild case. I play a lot of golf and am sure I have been bit by a deer tick at some point in time with all my time spent in the tall grass. Asked my doctor to include a Lyme test in my latest bloodwork and it was negative.

FAA is correct in that the degenerates with the worst hygiene will always be at the casinos. As to the rest of us, many of us posters here are senior citizens which puts us at high risk whether or not we are healthy now. In addition many of us have family members even older than us and we don’t want to be carriers to them As a matter fact just last night, the governor of Connecticut has suggested that nursing homes band visitors.

We cancelled our trip to Atlantic City that was scheduled for this weekend. Our biggest concern is that we both have parents in their eighties who we see regularly, and we do not want to take a chance on exposing them to anything.

The governor of New York has just ordered a 1 mile containment area around New Rochelle. Schools are too close and the National Guard has been directed to deliver food to the homes affected. Also Harvard has ordered it’s students to not return from spring break and move out of their dorm rooms by March 15. The governor of Connecticut as directed nursing homes to only allow visitors of family and friends to patients that are dying. This has officially gone to hell in a handbasket, and of course it is California. Santa Clara County has banned mass gatherings of 1000 or more. (whoa, but 999 people, okee dokee).
Now, the San Jose Sharks have to find a solution to what happens with their last three home games this season. Mind you, they are mathematically out of the playoffs, so there may not be more than 999 fans who are upset at missing games.
Vegas will be in the playoffs, what's next? Of course, the Democratic governor here will minimize any risks, can't impact the economy. Wonder what they expect to do for the NFL draft here . . .
